Replacing Trailer Wiring on a 2000 Jayco 17 Hybrid

I had a leak in my roof and one of my ceiling lights shorted out. I replaced the light and it works however, now my running lights/ signals, etc. on the trailer will not work at all. I have juice at my female plugin on my vehicle. I tried to find the wires that lead to my taillights to no avail. Any suggestions?

It sounds like the best solution for you is to bypass the existing trailer wiring since you cannot locate the wiring that leads to the tail lights.

You can use wiring # 16-4B-1. It is sold in increments of 1 foot. So if you needed 20 feet you would enter 20 in the quantity box.

Or you could replace the connector as well. If you have a 4-Way you could use # A35W42B which has 2 running light wires, one for each side of the trailer. If you do not have a 4-Way you could tell me the connector you have or just since individual wire instead of replacing everything.

Using wire clips such as # CE16867A or loom clamps like # A0500 can be used to hold the wire to the trailer frame since you will likely be routing the wire differently than the stock wiring.
