Hitch Recommendation for a 2007 Honda Accord to Carry a Bike Rack

Question:

Hi there - I recently purchased a 2 hitch from etrailer for my 2010 Toyota Highlander. Im very happy with the product, and my primary use is to transport bikes via a bike rack. Im now in the market for a hitch for my 2007 Honda Accord. My preference would be a 2inch hitch. Main reason being that my bike rack has a 2inch connector. Ive researched your website and the top 5 recommendations for a 2007 Honda Accord are all 1 1/4 openings. The bike rack is compatible with a 1 1/4inch opening, but this is an extra step that Id like to avoid if at all possible. My question is, is there a 2foot hitch that you would recommend for a 2007 Honda Accord? I do not plan to tow anything on this car. The sole use of the hitch would be to mount the bike rack for transport. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Regards

2 inch hitches are reserved for larger vehicles with higher towing capacities like SUV's and trucks. 1-1/4 inch hitches are used on smaller vehicles like cars such as your 2007 Honda Accord. For more information on hitch sizes and classifications check out the link I attached.

The only hitch options that are available for you 2007 Honda Accord are 1-1/4 inch hitches. The best recommendation I can make for you would be the Draw Tite hitch part # 24787. This is a great hitch that will work well with your bike rack as long as it is Class I hitch compatible. I attached an FAQ on hitch classifications for you to check out as well.

I also attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out.
