Atwood - RV Air Conditioners - AT15022 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the replacement vent, wall mount thermostat and remote for Air Command RV Air Conditioner. This is for a ducted system. This is going to give us all of the replacement parts for that ducted system so we can get it back to working properly. This is going to be a lot easier way to convert your system if you have a ductless system to a ducted and still use your unit rather than having to replace everything all at once. So we'll get our wall vent. That's going to have that separate piece at the bottom with our tabs to control our vent blades there. It was going to pop through, allow us to angle that arrow where we need it to be, and this does have a v shaped design, it has a slight bend to it in the middle.

So just make sure that our arrow isn't gonna go straight down. It's going to come out at a little bit of an angle. Get better air circulation that way.At the top we'll have our tray handle. That'll let us pull out the filter and change or clean that as we need to. Also get our phone block to get everything installed properly, an extension for our wire on the Thermostat.

The thermostat itself to go on the wall and then also our remote. Now our thermostat is going to let us control several different things at once. It's going to let us turn the system on and off. Also has the up and down arrows so we can adjust the temperature. We have a fan button, the mode button to let you switch between cool, heat, dry and just fan. It'll also have a timer, our furnace setting, and the sleep mode.

There's also a lock phone function to help keep the thermostat from just automatically cycling to the fan. We'll also have a handheld remote so that we can adjust all those things from across the room or at convenience so we don't have to get up and change that thermostat from the wall every time. It does come with a battery for that remote and then we'll get all the additional hardware to get everything installed. As far as our dimensions our vent for our ceiling mount is going to be 20 or 20 and a half by 17. Our wall thermostat is going to be a square of four and 3/4 inches by four and 3/4 inches. And then our remote is going to be pretty much palm sized.

It's gonna be about two inches across at its widest point, goes up to about one and 3/4 of an inch and that's going to be about three and 1/4 inch long. Now this does have a setting range of 60 degrees Fahrenheit up to 85 degrees Fahrenheit and it does display the temperature on the wall mount but not on the remote. And this is going to work with the Atwood Air Conditioning models AT15027-22 and AT15033-22. Again, this is going to have all the hardware you see here and this product is made in the USA. And that's going to do it for our look at the replacement vent, wall mount, thermostat and remote for Air Command RV Air Conditioner for a ducted system.

How do you get the mounting bracket off the thermastat?? I bought the kit, but not sure how it comes off and dont want to damage the thermostat figuring it out.

I was able to pull this from our warehouse and there is a small metal bracket that will lift off the plastic housing on the back. If you hold the thermostat face down and slide the metal backing gently toward the top it will use the hinge portion of the brackets and will release from the plastic housing.
