Review of B and W Accessories and Parts BWRVB3500

Today, we're going to review part number BWRVB3500. This is the replacement base for the B and W Companion Fifth Wheel Trailer hitches, has a 20,000 pound weight capacity. Now, this part does come with everything shown here; comes with these plastic foot pads, comes with these two pivot arms, comes with the socket post and the mounting hardware to attach the socket post to the base. Now, this replacement unit will fit into your B and W turnover ball underbed gooseneck hitch to provide a base for the B and W Companion fifth wheel trailer hitch. It also requires the B and W hitch head which we sell separately. Its part number BWRVC3006. When it's combined with this base, that will get you a complete B and W Companion fifth wheel hitch.

Now, this replacement base is designed to fit on the B and W Companion fifth wheel trailer hitch, part number BWRVK3500 and the BWRVK3500-5W, which we sell separately also. Now, these two pivot arms that are included. This is what the hitch head will rest on when it's installed on this. Basically, when you install these adjustable pivot arms, you can see they have a triangular shape to them. When you install them, you can put them. It has an A and B markings.

When you install them, there is a multitude of holes on the side here of the base, and that's where these would be installed. Basically when you install these, you can install them in six different locations and you can reverse them since they have a triangular shape to change the location of the hitch head. You can put them that way also. Depending on which way you attach them, you have six different locations to improve the cab clearance for your specific application. Also, if you notice, has two rows of holes, so when you install these, you can also raise or lower the hitch head with three different height settings. Basically, when you bolt this into the holes, there is three different locations to give you either a 16-1/4 coupler height, the 17-1/4 or 18-1/4 coupler heights which is from your truck bed to the top of the hitch head, and again depends on your application which one you would need.

These are very adjustable pivot arms. If you notice on top of these pivot arms, has these polyurethane bushings. Once these are bolted onto here, that's where your hitch head sits right onto those. Since they are polyurethane, it will give you a nice rattle-free ride since your hitch head will move, so the adjustable hitch head will move front and back and side to side, these will give you a nice rattle-free ride. If you notice on the base, it has a nice wide stands which will offer strength and stability. Now, these two plastic foot pads I mentioned.

It also come with it, you can see. Basically what these do; it may do have a different shape to them. You can put them either down. They actually install . You see the slots on the base right there. They will install on the bottom of this base, so you can install them either way depending on the corrugation in your truck bed. Basically, what these do is once they're installed, they would line up with the corrugation of your truck bed and gives you a lot better fit when you install this on your vehicle. Now, the way it is installed. Again, it would install into the turnover ball underbed gooseneck hitch and that's just this where hole that would be in your truck, and if you notice, this has the square post right here and that's the square shape. That's what would drop into that turnover ball hitch on your vehicle. If you notice, it has four holes on each side. You take the bolt, and there is a center crossbeam right here. This would mount either this way depending where you wanted this locate or this way, and you would mount that to that center. When you go to drop this into the turnover ball gooseneck, all you have is this square post that will drop into that turnover ball hitch and then it will tighten down and give you the application that you need. Now, this is made of a high quality steel, has a great powder coat finish that will help resist corrosion. Few specs on it, the gross towing weight capacity is 20,000 pounds. The vertical load limit or the pin weight capacity would be 5,000 pounds. That should do it for the review on part number BWRVB3500, the replacement base for the B and W Companion Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch with a 20,000 pound weight capacity. .
