Review of Bargman Trailer Lights 30-84-509

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number 30-84-509. This is the Barsman recessed triple red tail light, 84 series. This is a 3-light fixture. It's going to have 2 red lights. These are going to function as your tail lights, running lights, stop and turn signal, and then you're going to have 1 backup light. All three are going to be incandescent lights.

Each one containing 1 incandescent bulb. The taillight is designed to be mounted vertically or horizontally. The reverse light is going to be surrounded by class A red reflects reflective lens. It's got the stylish black base with the rounded corners, so it's going to add a nice clean, finished look once it's all the way installed. It's got a pretty narrow low-profile design.

Here on the back side, you can see that the light is going to be completely pre-wired. It is department of transportation compliant. We're going to take a look at the overall dimensions, starting with the overall length. That's going to give us a measurement of about 14 1/16" long. The overall width is going to give us a measurement of 6 15/16" wide. Now this is designed to be a recessed mount installation, meaning that we will need a cutout.

Your hardware's not included, but it does have the mounting holes going around the entire perimeter of the housing. The cutout dimensions, measuring from this point here to this point here, we can see that that's going to give us a length measurement of about 12 11/16". Then the cutout width, that's going to measure 5 1/2". We're going to go and hook it up to our external power source. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it.

Our white wire's going to be our ground wire. We'll go ahead and get that connected. Our green wires are going to be for the taillights, the running lights, and then black wires are going to be our stop and turn signal. Go ahead and get these all connected. Again, this is an incandescent bulb system, you can see that it's sending out a nice, consistent signal when we apply our brakes. You can see that it illuminates for a stronger signal output. It's going to do the same when we activate our turn signals. Then over here, with the reverse light, you can see there that's a strong consistent signal as well. Very bright. It's got the clear lens which allows a lot of light to come through, and again that is surrounded by the class A red reflects reflective lens. That's going to do it for today's look at part number 30-84-509.
