Review of Brophy Enclosed Trailer Parts AS25

Today, we're going to review part number AS25. This is the Brophy Aluminum Scissor Steps and this is the five-step version. These lightweight steps are manufactured from a heavy-gauged aluminum for maximum strength and durability. The stairs do self-adjust to the terrain and fold for easy storage. They do come all fully assembled. They are easy to install and use.

They use this mounting bracket which would mount to your RV or trailer and has the hooks right here. If this is mounted to your RV or trailer, your steps would be able to just hang in to those hooks then you can extend them out like this and then fold them up to close them. Now, these steps are only to be used while the vehicle is stationary and they should not be mounted permanently to the RV or trailer. Use this mounting bracket provided so the step is easily removed and prior to vehicle traveling. These are for recreational use only, not for commercial applications.

This bracket does also come with the mounting hardware. Each step has a non-slip stair thread, almost like a sandpaper feel to it. Now, there is an optional hand rail that is available that would clamp onto it and that would be part number AHR5. Now, this is the five-step version. The total extended height can be used between 40 and 48 inches.

I have this one extended all the way out to the 48-inch toll. Basically, let me just move a bit and that's measured all the way up to the top here. Basically, if we put a ruler on it, there's 48 inches. That would be the maximum extended vertical height. Now, the step size is 24 inches wide.

The depth on the step is 8-3/4 inches. These stairs do have a weight capacity of 250 pounds. Basically, just to show you how they will fold in is if you just push down on them. They will totally compact and I want to show you on the back here. There is a strap with a hole on it and on the very bottom step, there is a bolt coming out. When you close this all the way, it would lock that altogether. Basically, you can carry it all as one unit. That should do it for review on part number AS25.
