Review of Bulldog Trailer Jack BD154102

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bulldog Round Swivel Jack. This jack is ASAB compliant, which stands for American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. It's going to feature a lift capacity of 2,000lbs and a static capacity or support capacity of 3,000lbs. It's going to feature the convenient spring-loaded plunger pin. That's going to allow you to take advantage of the swivel feature. That way you can swing the jack up to a stowed position along the trailer frame during travel, or you can bring it back into an upright position when you're ready to use it.

The jack is going to feature precision-fitted parts, which is going to provide exceptional stability and reliability. It does require a bolt-on or weld-on bracket to get it fully installed onto the trailer. Those items are sold separately. We've got a side-wind handle right here and it's going to feature a smooth ergonomic design for easy cranking. As I'm raising the jack I don't feel any kinking or binding. It feels like really nice, seamless operation.

A nice, consistent, fluid motion when it comes to raising and lowering the jack, which is always a really nice advantage on a trailer jack. This is going to give us a handle radius measuring from the center of where it mounts to the outer edge of the handle, 5 13/15ths of an inch. The foot plate is going to be welded onto the inner tube of the jack; so that's included. We can take a measurement of that real quick. Measuring the length, that's going to be 7 1/2 inches. The width is going to be 3 3/4ths.

It's a really nice size. It's going to do a great job at spreading out the applied weight, especially on softer ground to help prevent sinking. It's also going to help increase overall stability. Now they make maintenance really easy with this jack as well, because they do include a built-in grease zurch 00:01:45 fitting that way you can just attach your grease gun, pump in the grease, and lubricate the internal components. A few more measurements I want to go over with you real quick. With the jack in the fully retracted position, if we take a measurement from the bottom of the foot plate or the top of the table-top, to the center of this point here, that's going to give us a measurement of 10 13/16ths of an inch. That's fully retracted.

This jack offers a lift measurement or travel measurement of 10 inches. Lifted in the fully extended position that measurement is going to increase to 20 13/16ths of an inch. The amount of clearance that we have from the center of the bracket to the very top of the jack; that's going to give us a measurement of about 6 1/4 inches, again from this point here up to this point here. The inner tube of the jack is going to give us a diameter of 2 inches. The outer tube is going to give us a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. That's going to do it for today's review of the Bulldog Round Swivel Jack.
