Buyers Products Pintle Hitch - 24 K Capacity Pintle Hook Hitch Ball Combo - BP88FR Review

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Buyers Combination Pintle Hook and Hitch Ball. This combo is going to allow you to hook your trailer up to your tow vehicle. This will slide right into your vehicle's 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver, and then you're gonna have a 2 5/16 inch hitch ball that's going to connect to a standard ball coupler. This can be switched out to accommodate different size couplers, and you can get different size Buyers hitch balls to put in there if you have trailers that have different size couplers. And you're also going to get this pintle hook that's going to connect to lunette ring couplers.

Now, this is spring loaded, so it's going to snap into place and lift it up there by lifting that handle, and then when you put it down, it's automatically going to spring into place, so it's going to be pretty much locked in, but then you also have this tethered safety pin that will make sure that everything is nice and secure. So again, to release it, pull out that pin and then lift up on this handle back here, that's going to lift up on that back portion and allow it to pull back, so that you can move your lunette ring coupler. This is constructed of forged steel, so it is going to be extremely strong and durable, it's going to give you a maximum gross towing weight of 24,000 pounds, and that's the weight of the trailer plus the load included. It's also going to give you a maximum tongue weight of 3,600 pounds, and that's going to be your maximum vertical load there, so it'll do a good job for you with those weight capacities. This does have this black powder coat finish on it and the chrome plating on the hitch ball to help resist rust and corrosion, so it will last a nice long time for you.

The hitch pin and clip are sold separately, you probably already have one for your vehicle's hitch, this uses a standard 5/8 inch diameter pin. You can get locking pins if you wanna add a little extra security, to make sure that no one is able to come along and take this off your vehicle, we do sell those locking pins and your standard pin and clips here at etrailer.com, so we've got you covered there if you do need one. But overall, this is gonna be a really nice option for those of you who are towing multiple kinds of trailers, you wanna have that ability to tow with the 2 5/16 inch diameter ball or with your lunette ring, you have a couple of options there. And like I said, you can switch that out for other hitch balls, so you can get the size that you need for your trailer. So that's gonna complete our look for today.

Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
