Review of Buyers Products Pintle Hitch 337BP880

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the 50 ton heavy duty swivel type pintle hook. This swivel type pintle hook will feature a swivel action to help reduce stress on your towing mechanisms and allow for off-road and uneven terrain towing. The swivel action, you can see here, allows for travel over curbs and rough or broken terrain. This pintle hook does meet the military specs and is ideal for heavy duty construction and utility equipment, military equipment, and highway construction towing purposes, with the towing loads up to 100,000 lbs. Now, for off-road use we do recommend that the load should be reduced by 25 percent. It also has some easy to access grease fittings for lubrication.

There's one right up here for lubricating the base plate that twists. There's one right in here, and one right in here for the latch that opens and closes. Now, it is made of a strong forged steel construction, has a nice black powder coat finish over the whole inaudible 00:00:52 part. Now, it is designed to fit drawbore eyes, with an inside diameter of 3" and a diameter section of 1 5/8". Maximum gross trailer weight capacity on this is 100,000 lbs.

Maximum vertical load or tongue weight capacity is 20,000 lbs.I just want to give you a few measurements and then we're going to just demonstrate how this latch opens. But the measurement on the mounting holes, let get a ruler here, center to center on the base plate is going to measure . Let's see, I could spin this around a little bit so we can take a look at it. But here's your base plate, the mounting hole, center to center, it's going to be 4 1/2" horizontally and then 4 1/2" vertically. But then again, just to show you how this latch would open, just release your snapper pin or safety pin right here.

Unclip it, slide it out, you can see it's attached to a cable here, so you can't lose it. And then you just grab your t-handle right here, just lift it up, and raise this back, and it'll lock into place in the open position. Go ahead and hook up your drawbore to it. Once it's hooked up, just release it and it'll fall right into place. Take your safety pin, slide it through the hole, clip it, and you're all locked, ready to go.

Simple as that. But that should do it for the review on the 50 ton heavy duty swivel type pintle hook.
