CUB Blind Spot Detection - Ford F150 Trucks - CU82XR Review

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Blind Spot Monitoring Driver's Side and Passenger's Side Tail Lights for your Ford F-150 trucks. Now, this is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2018 and newer Ford F-150 trucks, and on a custom fit part, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this'll work for your application. Now, this kit will let you upgrade your truck's tail lights with the integrated blind spot detection to safely change lanes and even back up without causing an accident. The truck tail lights with the blind spot detection sensors in them right here at the bottom, they will replace your factory tail lights for increased safety while you're driving, and this kit is not compatible with models that will have the factory LED tail lights. Now, I wanna zoom in and show you all the parts included, it's laid out here on the table.

This kit will include both the left and right tail lights with the blind spot sensors at the bottom, the control unit right here, the left and right warning indicators, has a buzzer, comes with a power button, comes with the wiring harnesses you need, right here in the middle is an OBD-II cable that'll plug into your OBD-II system, and it even gives you this whole drill bit to allow you to drill the correct size holes for your parts to be installed, and then over here, comes with both an operations and instruction manual. Now, the integrated radar sensors here on the tail lights, these would prevent accidents when changing lanes or backing up, the blind spot detection will track the vehicles entering your blind spots, the lane change alert will warn your vehicle of any vehicles approaching when you activate your turn signal. Now, both the blind spot detection and the lane change alert monitors adjacent lanes for up to 75 feet, and will automatically activate when the vehicle exceeds 15 miles an hour, and the rear cross traffic alert will warn of any vehicles or pedestrians when you're backing up. Now, on the inside of your vehicle, these LED indicators right here will light up, and the buzzer right here will sound an alarm when anything enters your blind spots. We mentioned the OBD-II connector here, this'll work with your vehicle's diagnostic system to ensure accurate readings, and these parts are all a durable construction to resist the elements, they meet an IP67 rating, which will protect against dust and water submersion in up to three feet for 30 minutes.

It is ISO 17387 Type 3 blind spot detection system standard compliant, and it is a plug and play installation. If I turn this around, you can see these will replace your factory tail lights, and it gives you a nice factory appearance when they're installed. The LED indicators we mentioned down here and the buzzer we mentioned, these will both installed on the interior A-pillars, there is drilling required, and the power button also, to activate it, can be installed on the center dashboard or the A-pillar, again, drilling would be required. And the control unit, this can be stored under the dashboard, under the seat, or even inside the console. All the wiring they have here uses automotive grade connectors and wiring.

Few specs on this system, the operating temperature is a -40 degrees Fahrenheit up to 176 degrees Fahrenheit, and the radio frequency they use is 24 gigahertz. But that should do it for the review on this Blind Spot Monitoring Driver's Side and Passenger's Side Tail Lights for the Ford F-150 trucks..
