CUB Blind Spot Detection - RV and Motorhome - CU62XR Review

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Blind Spot Monitoring System for 25 foot long RVs and motorhomes. This is an advanced blind spot monitoring system, which will provide blind spot detection, lane change alert, and rear cross traffic alert for 25 foot long RVs and motorhomes. The kit will include everything shown here on the table. Wanna zoom in, so you can see the pieces, and we'll go through them all here. I will start with this left and right blind spot radar sensors, comes with the gaskets for installation, a control unit right here, also comes with these indicators, these are left and right pillar mount warning indicators, comes with a power button, comes with a buzzer, the wiring harnesses you need, even comes with an OBD-II wiring harness, comes with the hardware, the connectors, and they even give you a hole drill bit to drill the hole to install your indicators in, and it comes with a nice installation manual and operation manual to allow you to show you how everything installs and how it operates.

Now, this system is designed to monitor blind spots for increased safety while driving your RV or motorhome. It is compatible with most 25 foot long RVs and motorhomes. Does include 25 foot long trailer harness, does work at areas with the low reception, such as tunnels or mountains, and as we've mentioned, these left and right radar sensors, they are equipped for blind spot detection, lane change alert, and rear cross traffic alert. These are designed to mount at the rear corners of your RV or motorhome, and they work on a radar frequency of 24 gigahertz. Now, the blind spot detection, this will monitor adjacent lanes for up to 75 feet, and they'll automatically activate when the vehicle exceeds 15 miles per hour.

The lane change alert, this'll monitor adjacent lanes and indicates when vehicles are within the warning zone, and it activates with the use of your turn signals when the vehicle exceeds 15 miles per hour. It will also detect vehicles that are approaching at high speeds within two seconds of potential impact. And then the rear cross traffic alert, it'll monitor for obstacles up to 60 feet behind your vehicle, and it'll activate when your vehicle is put into reverse. The indicators we mentioned, they are a LED indicator, they are left and right design, they are designed to mount into the pillars. We mentioned it comes with the hole drill to allow you to drill a hole that these would fit into.

Does provide audio and visual alerts, they do alert you to the side of the warning by blinking and admitting an audible tone. To install this, it is a very simple installation, comes with all the included connectors and wiring you need, we mentioned this harness will plug into your OBD-II connector, works with your vehicle's diagnostic system to ensure accurate readings. These are all an automotive grade wiring harness and weather tight connectors, and this system is ISO 17387 Type 3 blind spot detection system standard compliant. But that should do it for the review on the Blind Spot Monitoring System for 25 foot long RVs and motorhomes..
