Review of Carr Hitch Step CARR183252

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Carr Hitch Mounted Step for 2" Trailer Hitches. This unit provides quick and easy access to your vehicle's truck bed, cargo area, or roof rack. It's going to have a 650 lb weight capacity. When it's not being used, it easily flips up. That way it's never in the way. It adds a clean finished look to the back of the vehicle.

On the bottom of the step it's going to have a nice black finish that covers the bottom of the step. That is a protective material, that way it doesn't chip, scratch or fade. When you're ready to use it, you just pull down on that. That's a vert tight spring that way when it's down, it's not going to accidentally come up. When it's up, it's not going to accidentally come down. It's going to offer sure footing with a non-slip surface.

It's got the tabs back here that easily slow the unit to slide into the receiver tube of the hitch. It's going to do a good job at keeping out dirt and grime. Now to get a it secured, you just line up these pin holes with the pinholes in the hitch. It's got two sets on it. You can just choose whatever one gives you more clearance or works best for your applications, and then secure it using a pin and clip or a hitch lock.

The units constructed as black, powder coated aluminum construction. Very strong, durable, and it's going to resist rust and corrosion. It's made right here in the USA. This is designed for a 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver.

IF we take a measurement of the step platform, its going to measure about 5" going this direction, and then the depth . That's going to measure a little bit closer to 2 1/2". We don't have any hitch steps at this time that are compatible with a Class I or II 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 inch receiver, but we do have some other options that would be compatible. You can see the options by clicking the provided link.
