Today, we're going to review part #CARR183142. This is a Carr hitch-mounted step for two inch trailer hitches with the US Marine Corp logo. This will provide a quick easy access to your vehicle's truck bed, your cargo area, or your roof rack. Basically, you just lower it down, use it as a step and it flips up when it's not in use for a nice look. It does have the US Marine Corp logo on the bottom of the step, it shows when the step is folded up. It offers sure footing with a non-slip surface when you step on it.

It does slide into your trailer hitch receiver, keeping out dirt and grime. The pin and clip for the hitch lock is sold separately, we do sell that on our website as a related product and it is required to secure this to the hitch. This is constructed of a sturdy rust-proof die-cast aluminum, has a nice polished finish which offers a very nice touch of class and it is made in the U.S.A. The application on this is 2 inch x 2 inch trailer hitch receivers, weight capacity on this when you step on it is 650lbs, and just to give you quick dimensions on the platform itself, it is 5 inches long and right at - let's see if we can get a good measurement on the width - 2 1/2 inches wide. It does come with a limited lifetime warranty. What I wanted to show you, is, I got an example here. Here's like a 2 inch hitch receiver opening. What you would do is, you notice you've got two holes here so you just line up the correct hole, push it in, again get your pin and clip that we do sell separately, line the hole up, slide your pin through, put your clip on there, hold it into place.

Now you can use it to step up into your truck bed or roof rack, whatever you need. When you're not using it, just flip it up and it gives you a nice US Marine Corp logo and a nice shiny finish. And then to remove it, just take the pin and clip out, and you can slide it right out of your hitch opening. That should do it.
