Counteract Tire Balancing Beads - CA35FR Review

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Counteract Four Pack Kit of eight ounce bags of Tire Balancing Beads for trailers, trucks, and off-road vehicles. Now, these Counteract balancing beads are the economical way to balance your tire and wheel assemblies for the lifetime of your tires. These beads are designed to install inside your tires. Wanna zoom in for a better look here. But basically, you can see it includes four bags.

Now, these are all sealed, this one I happened to tear open just so we can show you what comes in each bag. I'm gonna dump out the ingredients, and again, this will come in all the bags. We'll lay out everything right here, and you'll be able to see in each bag, it'll come with an eight ounce bag of balancing beads, it will come with this vortex valve core, it'll come with the self-sealing valve cap, and the double seal flow through valve cap. Now again, these items will come in all those bags, so you'll get four of each of those, and then four bags of eight ounce bags of beads. It does also include these parts here, it includes the injector bottle and the tube that connects to it to allow you to insert these through your valve stem, and it will come with this valve core remover, this allows you to remove the valve core in your valve stem and to re-install it, and also has a screwdriver on the other end.

Now, these beads here are made of a coated glass sphere, these balancing beads will not cause any damage to the inner liner of the tire, they won't clump regardless of excess moisture, and they are TPMS compatible. These beads are environmentally friendly construction, they are reusable and recyclable. Now, how these tire bouncing beads work, I just wanna show you a little graphic there that'll pop up, and if you'll look at it, it sorta shows you, as the tire is rolling, what happens. But basically, once your tire begins to roll, this bag on the inside will break open, and the beads will get distributed around the interior of the tire thanks to centrifugal force. As the wheel continues to spin, the heavy spot in your unbalanced tire will pull up and down on your vehicle suspension, and this will cause the beads to shift to the opposite direction of that pull, so the beads will continue to migrate until there are enough of them on the opposite side of the heavy spot of the tire to balance out your tire.

These tire balancing beads continuously and automatically readjust the balance of your truck or off-road tires, they do reduce vibration, and they'll ensure even wear to increase life of your tire, even helps improve fuel economy. Now, to install these bags, it's very easy installation, you just take the center bag here, we'll throw this into the tire when it's removed from the wheels, or as I mentioned, you can put the beads in here and inject it using this bottle with a tube on it through your valve stem. The beads will remain inside the tires, they don't come loose to contaminate the environment, and they will not cause any damage to the wheels. Now, one note I do wanna mention, that if your tire does have internal TPMS sensors, you will need to break down the tire to install these beads. Application for this eight ounce size bags is 14 1/2 inch to 17 1/2 inch trailer tires, 15 inch to 22 1/2 inch truck tires, and 15 inch to 16 1/2 inch off-road tires.

Now, to help you order the correct amount of beads needed for your application, what you'll do is get the size of the tires from the sidewall of your trailer tire or vehicle tire, and match it to the tire sizes listed on the product page for that size bag of beads. So if you go to this part number, this is an eight ounce bag, if you go to this part number under the eight ounce bag, it'll list all the tire sizes that this is designed to work for. If you go to the other sizes, we do so all the sizes, they have an eight ounce, the 10 ounce, they go all the way up to a 20 ounce bag, but each product page will list what size tire that size bag will work on. And then also, in order to reduce the possibility of valve leaks, as I mentioned, these valve cores, it's a Counteract valve core, it's included, and the metal valve caps are included, and they recommend to replace the original valve core and cap with these that are included. And these come again in every bag, so you have four of each. This is just a standard self-sealing cap, this one you can actually screw on in place of the cap and it gives you a double seal flow through valve cap, in other words, you can put your air hose on there, fill it up with air, and then you remove it, you don't have any cap to put on and take off, this'll just stay on there. Now, these parts are made in the USA, and this is for a quantity of four bags of beads for four tires.
