Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring - Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring - C56070 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Curt 7-foot long 5th-wheel gooseneck custom wiring harness with the 7-way connector. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit many of the Chevrolet, GMC, Dodge and Ford trucks with the factory 7-way connector starting in 1997. And will also fit the Nissan Titan and Titan XT vehicles with the factory 7-way starting in 2004 and also the Toyota Tundra vehicles with the factory 7-way starting in 2010.And because it does fit so many different vehicles I do recommend for your to go to our website, use the fit guide. Put in your year and model of vehicle. It's show you if this will work for your application.

Now, this will provide the 7-way blade style connector in your truck bed for a hassle-free hookup of your 5th-wheel or gooseneck trailer. Basically this connector will mount in your truck bed sidewall, a tailgate post or even in your wheel well. And it will easily allow you to plug in the 7-way from your 5th-wheel or gooseneck trailer to this connector instead of trying to make your connection all the way down by the rear bumper where your normal factory 7-way would be.This harness will plug into the factory wiring. There's no cutting or splicing. It is a 7-foot long, insulated wiring harness that will reach from that rear bumper to your truck bed.

It gives you a right-angle plug here that you can see makes a very easy installation to it. You don't have to try to cram your wires around to make your connection. And as I mentioned it does require that the truck have the 7-way factory tow package. And when you do plug this in at your 7-way at the bumper here, it will retain the 7-way connection at the rear of your truck also so you end up gaining another 7-way at the rear bumper. It is custom fit for your vehicle. To install this it will require a 2-1/8 inch hole to be drilled for installation of this connector here.

It does include everything laid out here on the table. It includes the harness itself, the 7-way connector, some cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring, a nice set of detailed instructions on how to install everything and then four stainless steel screws for mounting your 7-way connector to your truck bed. It does have on, if you notice on the 7-way, a nice spring-loaded dust cover. Keeps your connectors clean when it's not in use.And on the wiring harness it does use a slit loom which will keep the wires contained and well protected also. Again, the harness length on this is seven feet.

And again, just simply when you go to install this, what you'll do is take this end that has the T-connector in it. Go down to your factory 7-way at your rear bumper. Unplug your harness from your 7-way that's on the bumper and then that harness will plug in right to here and then this will plug again, right into your 7-way that's on the bumper. You can see that also has a right-angle connection to it to help the installation. And then this wire will run all the way up to the side of your truck bed. And then this will make a connection. This will be installed in your truck bed and you'll just slide this on just like that. Push it in. It'll make your connection just like that. So very simple installation. But that should do it for the review on the Curt 7-foot long 5th-wheel gooseneck custom wiring harness with the 7-way connector.
