Review of Derale Transmission Coolers D13107

Today we're going to take a look at the Derale Series 7000 Transmission Cooler Kit with the hose barb inlets and a class three rating. This cooler will improve the functioning and overall performance of your transmission. It extends the life of the transmission, and it will prolong periods between necessary fluid changes. It does cut down on heat related failures. Inside the tubings on this has built in turbulators that will agitate the fluid and give you more efficient cooling. It is designed with copper tubing expanded into the aluminum fins for maximum heat transfer. Basically, the copper tubing is your best material for conducting the heat out of the fluid, while the aluminum is ideal for transferring and dissipating that heat. It is protected from possible damage during installation by these plastic fin guards right here that keep you from damaging the fins when installing it, and it has a nice powder coat finish over the whole cooler.

This part will include everything shown here on the table. It includes the cooler itself, four feet of high temperature OEM spec hose with these four stainless steel clamps, has the nylon mounting rods with the pads, has the bendable metal mounting brackets with the installation screws, has a nice set of detailed instructions to describe how to install it, and the main thing it also has the Insta-Dapt Radiator Adapter. This is recommended for mid-size cars, trucks, and SUVs. This part is made in the USA. A few specs on this, the inlets right on these ends you can see is 11/32nds hose bar size. The overall dimension if we measure from edge to edge, put a ruler on that, it's going to be right at 12 and 3/4 inches.

The height from the very bottom to the very top is going to be right at 10 and 1/4 inches tall. The depth of the cooler is right at about 3/4 of an inch. The measurement on just the cooler, not the tubes sticking out, just the cooler length itself, is going to measure right at 9 and 5/8 inches, and the distance between the inlets, if we put a ruler on that, center to center is going to be right at 8 and 3/4 inches. That should do it for the review of the Derale Series 7000 Transmission Cooler Kit with the hose barb inlets and a class three rating.
