Review of Diamond Trailer Lights DG52721PB

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at an LED trailer tail light. Now this light provides your trailer with stop, turn, tail and reverse light functions. It is an LED system. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer and burn brighter, and are much more efficient. You don't have to worry about changing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments. The unit does feature a nice weatherproof housing and lens, very strong and durable.

We do have a reflector located right here in the center. And it's a surface mount installation, so it mounts directly on the surface of your trailer. Mounting hardware to get it installed is not included, and it does have a total of six mount holes, but it does come with a mounting gasket. It's a five wire design, so the white wires are for ground. The black wire on this side is for the reverse light. The black wire on this side is for the tail light, so that's your main power for like the running lights.

And then the red wire's a power wire for stop and turn signal. It is SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. Taking a look at the dimensions real quick, starting with the overall length of the unit. Measuring edge to edge going this direction is about 11 inches long. Edge to edge going this direction is about 8 inches tall. And the overall depth, that's how far it sticks out from the installation surface, it's about an inch and a quarter deep.

These mount holes right here are separated apart from one another on center by 7 1/2 inches. This one to this one on center is 10 1/2 inch separation. And then side to side, they're separated on center by 5 inches. We're gonna go and hook it up to power. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. And then we'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a lower light setting.

So I'm gonna show you the tail light portion first. This is the tail light or running light. This is the brake light, so you can see how that signal output increases. This is our turn signal. Now let me hook up the reverse light real quick, and I can show you that as well. So now that it's wired to the reverse light or to the reverse wire or circuit, any time you engage the reverse gear, it pops on this light. So that's bright, white light. Multi-diode design on this unit really helps optimize the overall light output. It's a very bright unit, and again, full LED system. That's gonna do it for today's look at the LED trailer tail light.
