Review of Dometic Gas Detectors AT32701

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide Detector. This non-digital carbon monoxide detector is designed to alert you of potentially dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in your RV. That way, it keeps you and your family safe. It detects levels as low as 30 PPM. It uses a fuel sensor, which gives an earlier alert when the carbon monoxide levels are high, and it's less sensitive to false alarm triggers, especially when compared to other detectors.Right here is the test reset button. This lets you test the sound and reset to normal after an alarm.

It does have the indicator lights, which take out any guess work, so the green light blinks periodically during normal operation. The red light flashes when the alarm is active, and the red light blinks periodically if power is low.It does come with three AA batteries, a mounting plate, as well as mounting hardware and wall anchors for installation. One of the things I really like about this particular unit is it has a safety mechanism back here, so in each of the battery slots, you have this little spring-loaded pin that comes out, which makes it really hard to install if batteries aren't installed in the unit. That's a safety feature of the unit. That way, you don't accidentally install this without batteries.

That would make it nonfunctional, and we definitely want this to be functional. It's always a reminder to make sure that you have batteries installed. This is your wall plate, has all your instruction on there, and this mounts to the wall using two mounting screws, and then when you're ready, this detector slides on just like a bracket and clicks into place. It is CSA certified. It's made in the USA. When it comes to the monitoring ability, we're looking up to 1,500 square feet. The mounting plate itself measures, going this direction, it's about 4-1/2 inches, going this direction, measures about 4-1/4.

These mount holes are separated apart from one another on center by 3-1/4 inches. Overall depth, that's how far this sticks out from the wall, it's going to be about 1-5/8 inches, and the alarm intensity is 85 decibels at a distance of about 10 feet, and the replacement date on this 120 months or 10 years after installation.I'm going to go ahead and do a test real quick. That way, you can get somewhat of an idea of the sound that it makes. I'll hold this down, and then we're going to go through two sequences. It'll beep once and then it'll do four quick beeps.

It'll rest for about five seconds, and it'll do four more. That's all there is to it.That's going to do it for today's look at the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide Detector.
