Draw-Tite Ball Mounts - Fixed Ball Mount - 2753 Review

Today, we're going to take a look at the Draw-Tite ball mount for two inch hitches. This has a four inch drop, or a two and three quarter inch rise, and a 7,500 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this ball mount will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank portion right here is what'll slide into your vehicle's hitch receiver and the ball platform provides a mounting point for your hitch ball. Now, the hitch ball is not included. We do sell that separately. The ball hole diameter on this platform is one inch, so it will require a hitch ball shank diameter of one inch.

Now, both the drop and the rise positions are available to ensure level towing. It is a sturdy steel construction. You can see it as a hollow shank on it, and it has an angle cut on the end here that allows for easy installation and removal of this ball mount into your hitch. Has a nice black powder coat finish over an eight coat base for superior rust protection. Now, it does include the hitch pin and clip. Now, if you do want to hitch lock, we do sell those separately.

The pin hole diameter on this is five-eighths of an inch, so it does use a pin sized diameter of five-eighths of an inch. Application for this, again, is two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. Gross towing weight capacity is 7,500 pounds. Tongue weight capacity is 750 pounds. And I do want to give you some dimensions on this. So, the length, which is measured from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole.

So if we put a ruler on that, center to center is going to be right at nine inches, and then the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the ball platform right here, coming in right at four and a half inches. We've mentioned the drop, which is this position and the drop will be measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. So if we put our ruler there, you can see there's your four inch drop. And if we flip it over into the rise, same way top of the shank top of the ball platform, it's going to get your right at two and three-quarter inches. But that should do it for the review on the Draw-Tite ball Mount for two inch hitches with the four-inch drop, two and three-quarter inch rise, and a 7,500 pound gross towing weight capacity..
