Review of Flex-a-lite Transmission Coolers FLX4126-6

Today we're going to take a look at the Flex-a-Lite Translife Transmission Oil Cooler. This one has the minus six AN fittings, and a class five rating. Now this Translife Transmission Cooler kit will provide additional cooling to protect your automatic transmission. It's designed to mount in front of your radiator or your air conditioning condenser. Now cooler transmission oil will give you more reliable consistent shifts, and it prevents transmission damage under extreme towing conditions. This kit includes everything shown here.

The transmission cooler, the mounting hardware kit, and a nice set of detailed instructions on how to install it. Now the tubing on this is a half inch diameter tubing, and what's unique about this cooler is on the inside of the tube, they use a high twist turbulator design, and basically what that does is it causes the fluid as it goes through the tube, to actually twist and it improves the heat transfer. Now this cooler is aerospace epoxy construction. As I mentioned, the inlet and outlet are the minus six AN fittings. This is an eight pass configuration, which means you fluid will go through the exchanger eight times. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight as you can see. This is a class five rated cooler, and I do want to give you some dimensions on this.

The overall width from this side and this side end of the tube to the end of the tube is going to be right at twenty inches wide. The height from the very bottom to the very top is going to be right at ten inches tall, and the depth is going to be right at 3/4 of an inch deep. That should do it for the review on the Flex-a-Lite Translife Transmission Oil Cooler, with the minus six AN Fitting, and a class five rating.
