Furrion Boat Accessories - Marine Power - F30ITSBS Review

Today we're taking a look at a Furrion marine power inlet. Now this square marine power inlet lets you hook up to shore power and using your power cord. This is great for boats or any other marine application. It's also great for industrial use and RVs. It does have the quick lock cap so you close it, you hear it click shut. That's going to keep the inlet dry. Also on the underside of the cap we have this nice foam pad or seal which keeps dirt and moisture away from the actual connection terminals.

This does have the lock ring right here with the threads, so the threaded collar will accept power cords that have a threaded lock ring. It also has a power smart led indicator which indicates when power is present at the plug. We're looking at a heavy duty marine grade construction. Fiber filled polyester outer casing is UV stable. It features a grade three one six stainless steel logo plate and nickel plated brass pins and terminals to resist rust and corrosion. This is a universal fit with all other brands, so it is compatible with all the other brands.

It's a bolt on installation, mounting hardware not included, but you can see here we have our four mount holes pre drilled ready to go. It does come with a foam mounting gasket, so that goes right here on the backside of the unit in between the back plate and the installation surface. This piece right here is a thread on piece and you can see the portion right there has kind of like a strain relief. Goes over the power cord. It's how you gain access to the back of the plug. Now this is tested to marine UL four nine eight and CSA C 22.2 standards. It's black in color.

A few measurements to go over with you real quick. Taking a look at the measurement we get right here, edge to edge. We get a measurement of about three and a half inches. Very top to very bottom is about four and seven sixteenths inches. Your mount holes, these are separated on center apart from one another by two and seven sixteenths inches.

Again, the amperage for the unit is 30 amps and the voltage is 125 volts. That's going to do it for today's look at the Furrion marine power inlet.
