Furrion RV Camera System - Observation Camera and Side Marker Light Cameras - FCE48TASL-07 Review

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Furrion Vision S wireless RV observation camera system. This wireless camera system is going to provide three waterproof camera, cameras to minimize your blind spots and help prevent accidents. Your marker lights here have cameras in them. These will replace your current clearance lights with department of transportation compliant, marker lights, and still, so you still have the function of your marker lights and then you'll also gain the benefits of the camera there.

This is going to provide a 65 degree viewing angle, again, to help see what's around your RV so that you're going to avoid contact and collisions and that sort of thing. Your rear view camera can be used as either a backup camera or as an observation camera, depending on where you wire the power to. So if you wire it to your reverse light, this will act as a backup camera, will only turn on when you put it in reverse, or if you wire it to your running lights, anytime you have your RV running, it will operate for you there. So you can kind of use it as almost like a rear view mirror. See what's going on behind you, even when you're not in reverse.

This rear camera is going to give you 120 degrees of viewing angle, and it also has a built-in microphone to help pick up audio. So, if there's someone behind you giving you audible directions, you can, you'll be able to hear that much better there. All three cameras are waterproof with an IP rating of 65 so it's going to hold up really well against dust and water. All three have CMO sensors that create high quality 720 by 480 digital video in full color. They also have integrated IR cut filter blocks, or filters that block, the infrared light during the day to help capture natural looking images so everything's going to be nice and clear for you at night.

They have these infrared LEDs that are going to provide night time vision. Your eight LEDs on your rear camera here allow for night vision up to 16 feet. Your 12 LEDs on each of your side cameras allow for night vision up to 39 feet. So, even if you're getting into your campsite late at night, you'll still be able to see what's going on with that night vision on your cameras. These are going to activate your monitor with motion detection triggers.

So as soon as it picks up motion, it will turn your monitor on. Monitor does have a nice seven inch full color LCD touch screen. It's got a 480 by 272 resolution, lots of different features on this, including auto-dimming, anti-glare. That's going to allow you to view the display in any light. It's going to show a mirrored image for a precise view for your drivers perspective. The rear assist marker lines, show the distance from other objects as you're backing up so that you can make sure that you're lining up and not getting too close. It does have brightness, color contrast and image orientation, adjustability. The speaker on the backside here is going to allow you to hear what the microphone is picking up on your rear camera there. So again, if you're hearing, if someone's yelling at you to stop or something like that, it'll come through the speaker here. It does have an auto off setting that allows you to power off your monitor after 10, 20 or 30 seconds. So with that motion detection activating it, you can set how long you want it to run. So that will save power and turn off when you don't need it anymore. Also has an option to view up to four screens at once. So you can see all three of your camera views on the same screen all at one time. You do have a couple of different mounting options. So you've got this tabletop mount here that will sit flat on to your dash or cup holder or something along those lines, anywhere that's going to be a flat it will mount there. It will give you that option or you also have your suction cup mount secures to your windshield or dashboard. So a couple of different ways that you can mount your monitor so that it's right in your line of sight. Easy to see for you. All of this is going to be very easy to get installed. Very minimal drilling required to get your lights put in place. All the mounting hardware is included. You're also going to get with this kit, there's a built-in digital transmitter that helps to eliminate interference from other devices, because these are sending wireless signals. Sometimes those wireless signals can get jumbled up between your vehicle and another RV that's passing or something along those lines. I said, this digital transmitter is going to help eliminate that interference and offer high quality uninterrupted video up to 492 feet. So it is going to do a great job for you, making sure that you can see everything that's going on to your sides and rear of your RV so that you're going to be much safer as you're backing up into your camp site, or even just going down the road. So, if you're looking for a camera monitoring system for your RV, I think this is going to be a great option for you. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
