Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Gen-Y serrated hitch step for two inch receivers.Now, this hitch step fits into your Gen-Y adjustable hitch, and it can be used as a functional step while towing a trailer. This hitch step lets you easily reach the rear of your truck or SUV. You can get things over the tailgate, you can get things off the roof. It fits into a two inch receiver, has two pin-holes on it so you can use whatever one gives you the most amount of clearance or whatever one works best for your application. These pin-holes have a diameter of five eighths of an inch, and you'll notice that on the actual platform, it has a serrated, no slip surface. This insures that you have really good footing when using this step.It does have a 300 pound capacity.

It's made from steel and covered with a powder coat finish to resist rust and corrosion. The product is made in the USA, and it's covered with a life-time guaranteed warranty.I do wanna go ahead and put it into a Gen-Y hitch, just to show you how it would install in a two inch receiver. So, I have one here. This one has four slots on it, so you could use one of the lower slots for a ball mount, that way you can hook up to your trailer and tow it that way. Then you could use one of the upper slots for the hitch step.So you can slide it in, pick whatever pin-hole works best for the application, and then you will need to secure it in place with a pin and clip.

It doesn't come with one, so if you need one, you can find them at etrailer.com, if you don't already have one. That's basically all there is to it. Really nice, easy install.
