HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs - LC182895 Review

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the HappiJac Qwik-Load Turnbuckles for your camper tie-down systems. These are going to attach to your camper into the tie-downs on your truck so that you can haul your in-bed camper on your truck. You don't have to worry about it moving around. These are going to keep it nice and snug to your truck. It is designed to allow you to make tension adjustments without releasing the turnbuckle, so once you have this mounted on your camper and on your truck, you can use the turnbuckles to tighten or loosen.

You won't have to worry about having to pull off from the mounting point. We're also going to have these levers here, handles with the lever action. That's going to make it a lot easier and quicker to connect and disconnect. Once we have our turnbuckle in place, we've got it tightened to where we need it, this handle will give us a lot more freedom to loosen it up. The included locking pin will allow it to .. will not allow the handle to move so that it'll stay in place as we're traveling.

We're not going to have to worry about it coming loose. The turnbuckles do pivot swivel here, as you can see, so it's going to make it a lot easier when you're mounting. We're not going to have to have them tightened down to the point where they face in where we need them to. They'll continue to pivot until we have them as we need them. The handle itself is very convenient. It's not only going to give us the levering action, but it's also got a high profile, as you can see here, so that we're not going to smash our knuckles when we're closing this down.

It's also got a rubber sleeve here that's going to protect our hands from the metal. If it's a very hot day or a very cold day, we don't want to have that skin-to-metal contact. That rubber is going to kind of give it a insulation that's going to protect our hands. It's also removable. You can see we've got the screw here.

If we back that screw out, we'd be able to remove the handle so we can store it and prevent any sort of theft. This kit is going to include two of your spring-loaded turnbuckles with 11 . Sorry. These are your spring-loaded turnbuckles and your 11" threaded hooks. These spring-loaded turnbuckles are to be used on the front of your camper or near the cab of your truck. Just because of the way it's designed, these are required to be on the front for proper system performance. You're also going to get two of your stress guard turnbuckles with the 24" threaded hooks. These do not have internal springs, so they should not be used in the front. They are cushioned with rubber instead of being spring-loaded, so it's going to ensure that you get the proper amount of tension on your bumper-mounted tie-downs without putting too much stress on the tie-down points themselves. The turnbuckles are a stainless steel construction, so you're not going to have to worry about them breaking down or anything. They're going to be very durable. The hooks are a reinforced 1/2" rounded solid steel, so again, they're going to hold up well for you. This kit is made here in the U.S.A., and it does come with a one-year warranty from HappiJac.Now, this system is designed to work with your tie-downs on your truck. If you don't already have tie-downs, I would recommend checking out our site, etrailer.com. We've got lots of different options custom fit for your vehicle. That's going to complete our look at the HappiJac Qwik-Load Turnbuckles for camper tie-down systems.
