Review of Husky Accessories and Parts HT30859

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution Shank for 2" Hitches. This weight distribution shank is for the Husky Center Line Trunnion Bar weight distribution systems. It is designed for a 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver. The unit's constructed of a very strong durable steel construction. Nice solid shank here on the back side. It's going to feature a powder-coated finish over it so it's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion, lasting a long time, looking good for a long time.

You'll notice when it comes to the adjustment holes, it's going to be a 5-hole design. It does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock to secure the weight distribution shank inside the 2" x 2" receiver. Those items are sold separately. If you're in need of one, you can find them here at etrailer.com. The pin holes right here will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin. A few measurements that I just want to go over with you real quick.

Starting with the overall length from very back of the shank to the very front, it's going to measure 14" long. The shank length, basically measuring from the back of the shank to the back of the adjustment bar, that's going to give us a measurement of 12" long. You'll notice that it has a nice welded on, durable support right here. Really helps add to the overall durability, stability of the unit. A few other measurements to go over.

The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes, that's going to give us a measurement of 9 3/4". Now, if you're using this in the rise position, that would be in this position here, and if you have your head assembly at the highest setting, it's going to give you a maximum rise of around 11 3/4". If you're using this in the dropped position, if you have your head assembly at the lowest setting, it's going to give you a maximum drop of about 13 1/4". Again, it does have a 5-hole design for adjustability. The distance that we have between those holes, going center on center, those holes are going to be separated on center by 1 1/4", and 5" on center from this one to this one. That's going to do it for today's look at the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution Shank for 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver..
