JR Products RV Wiring - Cable Hatch - 372370-1-A Review

Hi there, I'm Michael, with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the electrical cable hatch for your RVs. You can see this does come in two different colors. We've got our colonial white as well as our polar white, so whichever option works better for your set up to better match your color scheme. Other than the color, they are exactly the same. They've got the same dimensions, the same materials, use the same functionality.

What they're going to do, they're going to help keep your RV electrical cables protected and out of the way so you don't have to worry about the elements or any vermin getting to them and it's going to help keep them protected. The opening here is a snap lock, so it's going to make sure that your cords are nice and secure while you're traveling. You don't have to worry about this door opening up and your cords falling out. They also have the built in slot that's going to allow you to run a cable out of the hatch while the door remains close so you don't have to have the whole thing open to have cables run out. It will accommodate both 30 amp and 50 amp cords, so it should be pretty versatile for you, allow you to get a lot of use out of it. They're very heavy duty. They're going to be UV and impact resistant.

They're going to resist all sorts of road salts and acids, so you're really not going to have to worry about them. They're going to hold up well, do the job you need them to do. If you don't like these two paint colors or the finish colors there, you can paint them to match your exterior colors. So that's totally up to you, whatever paint color. Obviously if you're going to paint, I would probably go with the polar white one, more of a blank slate there so you can more easily match the color but depending on what you need, either one could do the job for you.I do you want to go over some measurements with you So our total outer diameter, it's going to be right about 4 5/8 of an inch long.

Our cutout diameter, we're looking at right about 3 1/2. Give it a little bit of wiggle room there. You can see it's not quite 3 1/2 but the instructions do say 3 1/2 so you can have just a little bit of wiggle room there. And then our collar depth, is going to be right at 2 3/8 of an inch. So keep that in mind when you're getting these installed.Overall, I think they're going to do a great job.

Help keep your cables up out of the way so you don't have to worry about the weather or any animals getting to your cords so you can ensure that you're having a nice trip. You will install these and you can see that this back end here is pretty malleable, so it'd be easy to get your cords up in there once you installed them. That's going to complete our look at the electrical cable hatch for your RV.
