JR Products RV Wiring - Cable Hatch - 372541-2-A Review

Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the electrical cable hatch for RVs. This is going to keep your RV electrical cables protected and up out of the way, so you don't have to worry about any of the elements getting to them, causing any damage or any vermin or anything like that. It does have the snap lock feature, so it's going to secure all of your cords while you're driving so you don't have to worry about them falling out when you hit a bump or anything like that. You can see we've got the built in slot here that's going to allow you to run a cable out of the hatch, even when the door is closed. It will accept both 30 amp and 50 amp cords.

It is UV and impact resistant, so it's going to hold up very well. It's also going to resist any road salts and acids, and this is the polar white option. You can also get the black option using the part number you see on the screen there, or you can paint these to suit your exterior color scheme just to make sure everything looks nice. So totally up to you, whatever you want to do there. As far as our dimensions, our total outside width, we're looking at right about five and an eighth of an inch. Our cutout, it's going to be right at three and a half inches.

That's a little bit, that's the directions' recommendation just to give you a little bit of extra wiggle room on either side there. You can see our actual measurement is closer to three and a quarter of an inch, but they do like to give you just a little bit of room to work with. And then our taller depth is right about two and three eighths of an inch.So overall it's going to be a good addition to your RV to help you get everything tucked up out of the way, still accessible when you need it. You can see on the back there we do have a little bit of movement in our flanges. It's going to make it easy to get our cords tucked in there, run through from the back.

So overall, I think it's going to be a good addition, help you keep those electrical cords up and out of the way, so they're nice and safe. That's going to complete our look at the electrical cable hatch for your RV. Thanks for watching.
