Jensen RV TV - 24 Inch LED HD RV TV - JEN46VR Review

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Jensen LED RV TV. And this LED TV is going to have a 24 inch display, that's going to give you a nice realistic image. When we turn on the power here, be able to see one of my other cameras in the studio, to give us an idea of how clear the picture is gonna be. Does have a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080, so it's gonna be a nice high definition image there. The aspect ratio is 16:9.

So this is going to be great for your three feet to five feet distance when viewing, so really good for your RV living rooms. It does have downward facing speakers here on the bottom, that are going to give you a nice, clear sound. Now obviously this isn't going to be like a surround sound, kind of sound quality, but pretty much what you would expect from a screen like this, decent quality to hear what's going on, on screen. Now if we look at the backside here, we're going to have multiple different kinds of connection ports, so that we can connect multiple different kinds of devices. So we've got our HDMI, which I've got plugged into my camera here.

So the HDMI cable is not included, you'll have to provide your own for connecting to video devices like a DVD player, gaming, that sort of thing. You also have USB and VGA, as well as PC audio, for playing your video from your computer. We've got component video cables or connections there, as well as AV input, and digital audio output, and a headphone jack. This does have the RF antenna for satellite connection capabilities, and then over here, you can see this is our 12 volt DC power connection. And now that's one thing that I do wanna point out, so I'll turn the TV back off here.

So the way this connects is going to be kind of a hardwired system. So the cable that they include plugs in back here, and then you'll hard wire it in place. Now if you would prefer to have more of a simple installation, we do have this power adapter cord for Jensen TVs that will allow you to plug it right into your auxiliary port, as you can see there. So that's another option, if the wiring seems a little intimidating to you, or you don't have a really good place to wire it in place. This does have an HD TV tuner, that's going to locate and bring in digital television channels from your surrounding area, so you can see local HD signals coming through.

They do include the remote control here with batteries, so that you can control your TV from up to 30 feet away. This does have the Jcom function, that will allow you to use this TV remote with other Jensen HDMI equipped devices, so if you want it to be able to control your DVD player, for instance, you would be able to do that, as long as it is a Jensen brand. On the top, we're gonna have more control buttons, and so kind of the same features as the remote. You'll have your source, your menu, channel, and volume, as well as power. So having those up on the top is gonna give us unobstructed front view here, so gonna have a nice clean look to it. The backside again, where we're gonna mount this in place, does have a 100 millimeter by 100 millimeter VESA mounting pattern, now the stand or mounts to get this installed is not included. We have lots of different options available here at etrailer.com. You just wanna make sure whichever one you're getting, is gonna match your setup, however you want to mount it. And it's gonna have that 100 millimeter by 100 millimeter VESA mounting pattern. This TV is about 8.7 pounds, so you wanna make sure that whatever stand you get, it's gonna be able to handle that weight, but that's pretty lightweight, so just about all of them should be able to. Our overall dimensions here, we're looking at 22 inches wide, approximately 13 9/16 of an inch tall, and 2 3/16 of an inch deep. This does have a hardy plastic outer shell, that's going to give you a nice, solid, stability, durability. The circuit board is a conformal coated circuit board, that's going to help protect the TV during travel, obviously being in your RV, you're gonna hit a lot more bumps and be jostled around a lot more than a TV, that typically in your house would be able to stand up to. That coating is going to help shield the circuit board from moisture, dust, and extreme temperatures, so it's gonna hold up really well in your RV. So one more time, I'll just unplugged my HTMI cable here, and our power cable, just give you a quick spin, so you can see how this is gonna look, without any of those cables put in place, you can see how everything is going to plug in. I would recommend picking up one of those stands, if you don't already have it. It's not capable of standing up on its own, so you will definitely want something to mount this to, so that it will stand up. We also have lots of other options for your RV TVs, so if you are wanting a bigger screen, or different input devices or ports, different things like that, we've got lots of other options available, so be sure to get the one that's gonna work best for you. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
