LaSalle Bristol RV Sewer - Waste Valves - 34466N4AB48GMA Review

Today we're going to take a look at the LaSalle Bristol RV waste valve. This is going to have a 3 inch diameter, it's going to fit spigot to hub, and it's going to have a 48 inch cable. Now this is going to replace the valve for your RV's black water tank. That three inch diameter is going to allow any waste water to freely travel through when the valve is open. The hub is going to slide onto the sewer pipe, and the spigot slides into the sewer pipe. That means the spigot side is going to be the smaller side, hub side will be the larger side.

The 48 inch cable is going to allow you to install the handle where you want it, whether that's in a secure location or in a slightly hard to reach place so it can't get accidentally opened up.Now, whenever you're installing this you'll want to make sure that you have your cable secured in a couple different spots. They recommend that you have a nice easy bend to it or you can install it at a right angle or a 90 degree turn. You can also use sort of an S bend in that cable. You just want to make sure that you're not using any really sharp hard turns, and you also want to make sure that you don't loop the cable. It needs to be sort of in a straight line here so that it can have the proper pull for your valve. Now it is going to have a nonstick coating to help that valve seal easily, easily open and close.

Can prop this up here so you can get a little better idea of what it'll look like. And I am looping the cable, but just so you can see it operate. It does operate pretty easily, I'm just having to awkwardly hold it here so you can get an idea of how it's going to work . but whenever it's actually installed it'll work better.Again, as I said we'll have our spigot side, which will be that smaller diameter. The inner diameter of that is going to be the three inch measurement.

The outer diameter will be three and a half inches. If we flip it over to the hub side it's going to be three and a half inches in diameter on the inside, and then four inches in diameter on the outside. Our cable has the easy to grip handle. It does come with the hardware to get that attached in there, and then the two nuts to mount that. It might not be a bad idea to pick up a couple of loom clamps to go around your cable to give it a little support and securing anchors, but also still allow it to operate our valve.

The cable is going to be made of steel, and this is NSF approved. Now you will also need to pick up some ABS solvent cement that is sold separately. It doesn't come with this kit, but it is required for installation. If you don't have any already, you can pick it up here at etrailer.com using part number A05-0303. This product is also made in the USA.That's going to do it for our look at the LaSalle Bristol RV waste valve.
