Review of Lock N Roll Ball Mounts 336VS503505

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Lock 'N' Roll articulating hitch with a three position channel and it's designed for 2" hitches or 2" receivers. Now this channel mount hitch basically links with a Lock 'N' Roll trailer-side coupler to hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank of the channel bracket slides into the receiver tube of your hitch on the vehicle. You need to secure it using the hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately and available at And then the head unit provides the attachment point for your trailer-side coupler. Now this does offer a more secure connection than a traditional ball coupler.

We have the vehicle side latch in place that interlock with the trailer-side coupler to form a nice strong connection. So there's no more worries about your coupler popping off the ball. And it also features an articulating design to soften road shock and is great for off-roading. So I do have a trailer-side coupler, and I just wanna show you how the two work together. So we need to make sure that our latch plates are moved out of the way.

And then we can take the coupler and it fits inside them to these indentions right here. Then we bring our latch plates over. See how those engage And then you take your pin, which is included, and it goes through this area here. And you secure it on the other side by installing the clip. Now again, I wanna focus on the pivoting action of the unit. There's a bearing in the head unit that allows for 360 degrees of rotation.

So to show that, I'll simply just rotate the bracket side to side and you can see how I have full rotation. That will go all the way around without affecting the connection point here at the coupler. Also we have full articulation when paired with the trailer and coupler because this set up pivots side to side, and up and down, without ever really changing the orientation here at the connection point. Now this is a tight interlock connection design that creates smoother, quieter ride specially when compared to a pintle hitch. It's a close fit connection which reduces rattle noise and jerking motion. If you need to check out trailer-side couplers We have those available right here at the channel bracket, which is the portion that slides into the hitch and has the holes right here for your adjustment, this lets you adjust the hitch's height to match different trailers.

So you can raise or lower the hitch, bolt it into the channel. Mounting bolts and lock nuts are included. It also offers fast, easy hook up and disconnect. So the pivoting design offers a wide range of motion which makes it easy to connect even at an angle. And again, it does come with the pin and clip or your attachment hardware for securing the latch in place in the close position. We're looking at a durable steel alloy construction. Very strong, durable design. Black paint finish on the unit helps it resist rust and corrosion. And it does meet SAE J684 towing safety regulations. Again, it is designed for a 2" by 2" trailer hitch receiver. Maximum gross trailer weight capacity is 11,000 pounds. Maximum tongue weight capacity is 1,100 pounds. The channel, top to bottom, is 7-1/2". Outer edge to outer edge is 3-11/16" wide. The adjustment holes are separated on center by around 2" and then the inner width right here is about 3" wide.I did take a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes, got a measurement of 8-3/8" from the center of the hitch pin hole all the way out here to the center of the indention right here where the attachment from the trailer-side connects. Center on center, this measures 15". Now this product is made in the U.S.A. and it is covered with a limited lifetime warranty. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Lock 'N' Roll articulating hitch with the three position channel for 2" by 2" trailer hitch receivers.
