Review of Lock N Roll Ball Mounts 336VS517

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Lock and Roll trailer hitch for the vehicle side. The Lock and Roll trailer hitch lets you hook up your vehicle to your trailer, provides a connection point for the Lock and Roll trailer side coupler. Trailer side couplers are sold separately, and available at etrailer.com. The hitch tube on this unit slides directly into your vehicle's hitch receiver. It is designed to slide into a two inch by two inch receiver. You can use this in either the drop or rise positions, you just need to rotate this whole mechanism over, which it does easily. It's on this joint system right here, so that way it can swivel side to side, 360 degrees all the way around.

But you can use it in either the drop or rise positions, to help ensure level towing. The gross trailer weight rating on this unit is 11,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity is 1,100 pounds. This coupler system is safe, it's easy to use, and it's one of the most versatile options available on the market today. It's ideal for off road use, or for use over rough terrain. Works great for pulling a trailer with your UTV or ATV.

Now when coupling, the latch plates actually lock in place for a secure connection. I do have a trailer side coupler here today, so I do want to show you how it latches. It comes with this pin and clip, so you just need to remove the clip from the pin. Just rotate it, slide it off. The pin comes right out, and then those latch plates slide out of the way.

And then this simulates or demonstrates a trailer side coupler.Drops down into the connection points. Then the latch plates come over. And you want to secure it by reinstalling the pin and clip. And that's going to allow everything to be connected. So these latch plates actually lock in place for a secure connection.

Also, that offers a visible connection point which eliminates any question as to whether the trailer is hitched correctly. Now, when coupling, you have 360 degree rotation, and three axis of movement at the connection point, so that really helps prevent twisting damage to the vehicle and trailer frames that's caused my sudden changes in vehicle-trailer orientation. So the trailer side is able to rotate back and forth this way. You have a little bit of up and down play as well for going over that rough terrain. And then again, this mechanism right here is able to swivel all the way, so that really reduces that amount of strain placed on the trailer frame, and on the vehicle frame. To disconnect, that's really simple as well. Again, you just need to take the clip off of the pin. Pull the pin out. Move the latch plates, and then you can uncouple. So that's an easy system to use. It's a really nice design, very secure. Now this type of coupler system offers a wider range of motion, which allows you to couple and uncouple the trailer with ease. That's also really helpful when backing the trailer around a corner and into a tight spot. It offers very tight, close fitting connections, which reduces shock and chucking. We're looking at a durable, steel construction that provides a four inch drop or a four inch rise. It's SAE J684 certified. Parts made in the USA, and it is covered with a limited lifetime warranty. And that's going to do it for today's look at the Lock and Roll trailer hitch, for the vehicle side.
