MORryde RV and Camper Steps - Fold-Down Motorhome Steps - MR26RR Review

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this MORryde StepAbove Fold-Down Steps for a 23-and-three-quarter inch to a 26-and-a-quarter inch RV door frame. Now these are manually operated RV steps. Makes it very easy to get into and out of your travel trailer, fifth wheel. Basically, you can just simply fold down the step for use and then fold it back up for travel.

The steps will lift up and over here they have this latch that'll lock into place and they'll stow inside your entry door when they're not being used. This is keep your steps protected from the elements during travel, provides an alternative to installing them under the door. So it'll eliminate the need to have to cut into your metal skirting of your RV. The hinge plates right here, this is what'll attach to your RV. Just want to zoom in on those and show you what's nice about them.

They have these pins in them. See this little lever here. You can pull that pin out. You can pull that pin out and it allows you to detach the steps from your RV. So the hitch plates will stay installed and you pull those pins out.

What's nice is that's perfect for if you're storing your RV in a tight storage lot where there's not enough room between RVs, doesn't give you enough space to fold down the steps. You can just detach the steps if you need to and then just put them back in and put the pins in there and you're ready to go. Now, the leg extensions right down here, these are nice. They'll create a nice sturdy connection with the ground. Helps eliminate any bounce, reduces the potential for slipping or falling during use.

And they'll remain stable even on uneven terrain because you can adjust the legs individually to keep the steps parallel. The quick-release triggers right back here, you can see if you push in on it, it releases the leg. So you can adjust it either up or down. And what's nice about it to release it, you gotta push it in, but once you get it in and it locks, to pull it to extend it, you don't have to push that trigger. You can just pull it to where you need it. And then just like that, you're ready to go. Let's put it down just a little. There we go. So it will adjust in about one-inch increments for a total of about 13 inches of adjustable length. It is a two-step assembly, has an extra-deep top step for easy entry and exit. It is an anti-slip design, offers excellent traction, has a nice textured surface on the step. And so it helps in any wet or muddy conditions. And it has on the very front here the non-slip tread tape that'll help prevent any slipping. They are aluminum steps, so there they are rust-proof, scratch-resistant and of course they're aluminum, so they're lightweight construction, so it helps when you're lifting them or lowering the steps, makes it effortless. They use a powder-coated steel up here on the frame portion. It's powder-coated steel frame is corrosion resistant. And when you do receive these steps, they are preassembled just like this. So it makes a very easy installation. All you have to do is install them. Does come with the mounting hardware screws right here to install your hitch plates to your RV. Now, this part is made in the USA. I want to give you a few specs on this. The first measurements I want to give you are needed to verify the fit on your vehicle. And one of them is the entry height and that's measured from here to here. So it's gonna fit an entry height of 25 to 29 inches. And the other one is the doorway width. So it's gonna fit a doorway with from 23-and-three-quarter inches to 26-and-a-quarter inches. Now the steps themselves, the width on them inside to inside is 19-and-a-half inches. The top step we mentioned the depth on it is wider, so it's about 10 and five-eighths inches. Bottom step is right about eight inches. And then the rise on the steps from one step to the next step is right at about nine inches. Now, the height of this, when you swing it up and put it in the stowed position, the overall height is about 29-and-a-quarter inches. And the weight capacity on this is 500 pounds. But that should do it for the review on this MORryde StepAbove Fold-Down Steps for the 23-and-three-quarter inch to 26-and-a-quarter inch RV door frames..
