Today we're going to be taking a look at the Max Air Max Fan trailer roof fit with a 12 volt fan. The reversible, variable speed fan is going to allow you to precisely control air movement in and out of your RV. This can be used as a ceiling fan. Basically, all you have to do is close the lid. This is designed to operate while the lid is closed and that's really going to help circulate air inside the trailer. There's a lot of neat features to this unit. You can see here it's got the rubber seal that goes around.

That's really going to help keep dirt and moisture out. It's just going to create a nice tight seal when that lid is closed. The other thing I want to point out is that you'll notice right here that this has a double left arm design. That's going to provide sturdy support for the lid when it's open. That's going to better withstand high winds without fluttering and it can remain fully open while you're driving. It's not a nice motor right here.

That's going to be a sealed ball bearing motor so that's built to last a long time. You got the wiring that's all nice and tucked out of the way. It's just a really nice design. It's going to have the clear fan blades. I believe this one is going to have a 12 inch diameter.

Really quick, we can just go ahead and count the blades to see how many it has. I'm going to start here at this brace so, 1, 2. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 so it's a 10 blade design. Again, the diameter of the fan is going to be 12 inches. We're going to go ahead and close it. There's a manual control knob underneath.

I'll show you what it is fully open. This is in the fully open position. With it installed on your trailer, with it fully open it's going to extend above the roof by about 11 7/8 of an inch, that's from the bottom of the flange to the top of the lid. In the fully closed position it's going to extend above the roof by about 3 3/4 of an inch. You can see here that the cover color is white. It does include the mounting flange and the interior trim piece or garnish. That's white in color as well. It's a nice, low profile design. Some other neat features about the unit, we'll go over these real quick. I'm going to go ahead and remove the interior trim piece. You're going to notice that on this side we're going to have that manual knob down here at the bottom. This is able to lock so the knob will lock to ensure that the lid stays in the position where you want it. It's got the indicators right there, so pull to unlock, open, close, push to lock. Then, right here we're going to have, this is just like a little touch dial. We have on and off. We have the little arrows right here that controls the direction that the fan spins so in or out. We also have auto. This is going to be a built in thermostat. Then we're going to have our plus and minus, which is going to allow us to adjust that thermostat in one degree increments. It's automatically or it's got an auto design at 78 degrees Fahrenheit. That built in thermostat is really a great feature. That's going to let you control the temperature inside your RV or trailer while you're away or at night time when you're sleeping. Ultimately, it's going to help save energy by running the fan no more than necessary. It's going to have the molded in white plastic flange. That's really going to help to prevent leaks. It's got all the pre-drilled holes. It also comes with all the installation hardware that's necessary for full installation. That's including all the different screws that you need to get it installed as well as the wiring connectors to run power to the fan. That key pad, it's a flush mounted design. It's very easy to use and it's very easy to clean. I also want to mention that it has an insect screen right here. That's going to be held in place with these retaining knobs. You just rotate those out of the way and then you can pop that screen out for removal or easy cleaning. This is designed to fit roofs 2 inches to 6 1/2 inches thick. Again, that interior trim piece or garnish is included. If you're installing in an application or on a roof that's less than 2 inches thick the ceiling must be built up. It does require 12 volt DC and minimum 5 amp service. It's designed to fit into a standard 14 inch by 14 inch or 14 1/4 by 14 1/4 inch rough opening size space. I also want to mention that it's a pretty standard size so the standard opening size makes it easy to replace or upgrade an old vent. That's one of the neat features about these. Again, white in color, overall nice, strong, durable design and everything you need to get it installed is included. That's going to do it for today's look at the Max Air Max Fan trailer roof vent.

I read somewhere that I can use a remote on my maxxair fan 00-04000K. I can’t figure out how to sync it if I can use the remote I ordered. Thanks

This remote should be compatible with your vent. I'm linking an answer page that goes over some of the troubleshooting steps. Does it work manually and do you have fresh batteries in the remote?
