MaxxAir RV Vents and Fans - Roof Vent - MA00-933066 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the MaxxAir Standard RV and Trailer Vent Cover. This helps to prevent any water from getting into your RV whenever you have your vent open. It's going to protect that to make sure that even in rain or snow or sleet, we can still get that fresh air into our RV or camper and keep all that moisture out. You can see we'll have these louvers at the back. That's what's going to deflect the rain down, but on the inside, we'll still have enough space to allow that air to go through, and there's also a bug screen to keep out any unwanted guests. You can remove this as well to clean it as needed. There's just some little tabs to pop it out of place, or that hold it in place.

You can do that, clean that off every so often, and then get it back into place pretty easily, just like that. It's also going to be a nice translucent color, so we'll still get light coming into our RV as we want it. This shape is going to be pretty aerodynamic, so we don't have to worry about any wind drag as we go down the road.It comes with the mounting hardware to get this installed. And the nice thing about this is that it's just going to attach to our vent housing, so it'll kind of sit up a little bit away from the top of our RV. That means we don't have to put any more holes in our ceiling. It's just going to mount up to that vent itself.

You might have to drill into the vent if there aren't any pre-existing holes already in there to mount that to, but it does come with all the hardware to get it attached. We don't have to worry about any leaks occurring with that mounting system. It's going to keep everything really simple. It's made of a durable high-density polyethylene construction, so it's going to be UV resistant. We don't have to worry about any cracks or damage occurring from being outside in the elements. Since we're able to get that air into our RV, we'll make sure that our camper or RV or trailer is going to stay nice and cool and fresh. Now, this is designed to fit over most standard 14" by 14" roof vents.

The overall dimensions for the cover itself will be 19" long by 18-1/2" wide and 9-1/2" tall. The inside dimensions will be 18" long by 16-1/4" wide and 9" tall. The vent dimension will be 13-3/8" wide and 5-7/8" tall. This does come with a six-year limited warranty from MaxxAir.Now, a couple things to note with this is that some vents might not be able to fully open whenever you use this vent cover. If you've opened 50% or more, the vent will still achieve maximum air flow.

But you have 9-1/2", or 9" of space inside that cover before you'd make any contact with the cover itself. Also it's important to note that the vent cover should not be used with any high powered ventilator fans. And that's going to do it for our look at the MaxxAir RV and Trailer Vent Cover.
