Review of Optronics Trailer Lights BUL10CB

Today we'll be reviewing part number BUL10CB. This is the Optronics LED Backup Light. It's going to be a white light with a clear lens. It is certified for backup light functions when installed as a pair in a 2-lamp system. The long-lasting LEDs are a great replacement for incandescent lights. It's going to feature multi-diode designs. It's going to optimize light output.

You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you dont have to worry about the brittle filaments. These are going to be more efficient. They're going to provide brighter light with less power. The housing is a sealed waterproof, 1-piece, molded plastic housing with a very durable lens. It's going to be corrosion resistant. Here at the rear, you can see thats going to accept industry-standard, 2-prong plug that's going to be sold separately. Very simple to upgrade from incandescent lights. I don't want you to be confused because, on the back, you're going to see a slot for a 3-prong plug.

The thing about this light is it only uses one function. All you need is a ground connection and then you need a connection to run to your reverse signal. That's where it calls for a 2-prong plug. With the 2-prong plug installed . This is going to be sold separately, but with it installed, it actually covers up that third connection point. You don't have to worry about anything getting in there and damaging it. The 2-prong plug has a nice little rectangular design.

It's going to plug into the back plug, this one right here. It's actually going to cover up the third one. You don't have to worry about anything getting I there. Don't let that confuse you. This is Department of Transportation compliant. It meets FMVSS 108 requirements in any 360-degree position. It's an oval shape.

It's going to give overall dimensions of 6 1/2 inches by 2 1/4. It's going to give us a depth of about 3/4 of an inch. It's going to contain 10 LEDs. Power draw is going to be 0.260 amps at 12.8 volts. It will flush mount with a grommet that's going to be sold separately with part number A70GB. When it comes to that pigtail system, you can use a straight pigtail, which is what we're going to use for our demonstration today, sold separately here at etrailer.com with part number A45CB, or you could do a right angle pigtail with part number A49PB. We're going to go and connect this to our external power source. Then we're going to plug in the light and get a feel for what it's like with our overhead lights off and our light turned on. We're going to go and make the 2-prong plug connection here at the rear, turn off the overhead lights and turn on our power source. You can see there that it's a nice white light. You can see the 10 LEDs. It's going to provide a really good signal output. That's going to do it for today's review of part number BUL10CB. This is the Optronics LED Backup Light. .
