Optronics Trailer Lights - Submersible Red LED Clearance Or Side Marker Light - OP54FR Review

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Miro-Flex Submersible Red Lens LED clearance or side marker light with this black bezel. Now, with this little oval, waterproof LED trailer light, you're going to be able to haul safer by alerting other drivers of your trailer's position and direction of travel, and this oval LED trailer light functions as either a clearance or side marker light, and that Miro-Flex faceted reflector provides increased light output with this contemporary appearance. These three white LEDs can last 50 times longer than incandescent lights, they're more efficient, they provide brighter light with less power output, and there's no bulbs to replace or no brittle filaments. Now, obviously, I have my studio lights on here. Let me turn them off just to give you a better idea of just how bright this is. So, as you can see, in my dark studio, that puts out quite a bit of light and it's a very consistent light.

This is considered a P2 rated light, meaning it produces a 45 degree angle of light to either side of its center line for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side, so this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install two separate lights on your trailer, one as a front or rear clearance light, and one as a side marker light. Now, let me go ahead and see if my wide camera can show you, again, I'm just gonna shine this on the back of my wall, or the wall behind me, it's more correct to say, just to kinda give you an idea of how bright that is. And my camera doesn't like to focus too well in the dark, so let me go back to this and turn my lights back on, and I'm gonna go ahead and turn the power off here.

Now, this light features a sonically sealed waterproof housing, and the lens unit, it is submersible, and this bezel is removable. So after you mount this, then you would just snap that black bezel back on, and that'll give it a nice finished look. And this is going to be a red lens over three white LEDs and this is gonna mount on the surface of your trailer. It is important to note that hardware is not included with this light, so you would have to provide that on your own. And this is going to be a two pigtail installation, it includes the power lead and the ground wire.

This is DOT compliant, and this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. Power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.047 amps. Now, just some over all dimensions, I went ahead and measured this beforehand, it's kinda difficult to show with this pigtail coming out. So, my measurements, I came across with 4 3/16 inches long by 1 3/8 inches wide and this is about 3/4 of an inch thick. And then the distance between these mounting holes, center to center, is gonna be sitting right 3 1/8 inches, again, center to center on those mounting holes.

And there is a limited lifetime warranty on these LEDs. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..
