Review of Rear View Safety Inc Backup Cameras and Alarms RVS-919619N

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the RVS Rear View Safety Backup Camera System for the Nissan NV200 vans. So, this is going to be a custom system for your Nissan NV200 and that's going to be for vans that are 2010 or newer, so keep that in mind. You've got your monitor screen here, your backup camera here with the housing, your switch box along with the wiring to run from your camera to the box, and some additional wiring to help get everything set up properly. We also have some additional hardware there to help get everything hooked up as well. So, as you can see, this is going to be our monitor. It's going to replace the existing rear view mirror in your van. On the back it has that standard mount, so you'd remove your old mirror and then slide this in its place and you should be ready to go. This is going to be a seven inch TFT LCD monitor.

It's going to have distance grid lines, a built in speaker, mirror image capability and it does have a power harness for connecting DVD player and other cameras. It also comes with that backup color camera here. This is IP rated for IP68, which is basically one of the highest ratings you can get to keep out dust and water, so no worries about anything getting in there and causing any damage. This is going to mount up directly below your third brake light on the back of your NV200 van. It does come apart to make that a little bit easier. It also has some wiring coming off the back, that's going to plug in to this bulk wiring here.

There are a couple arrows on the plugs themselves to make that a little bit easier. Then, the other end of this wiring gets hooked up to power and ground and our yellow wire plugs into this harness here, which will then go to our switch box. Now again, since this is designed to be a backup camera system, we would be plugging into backup, which is camera three on our switch box. You do have the option of using these other two ports for additional cameras if you wanted to have two on either side of your van for additional visibility or you could hook up a DVD player to that second port there for camera two and then run an additional video out, if you wanted to have an additional monitor, not included with this kit. In case you wanted to, again, have that DVD player running to a different monitor, so you could watch it somewhere else in your van. Now, the monitor is going to measure nine inches across, from one side to the other and it's going to be about four and a half inches tall. As far as our camera, at the widest part of the back, it's going to be about eight inches.

As far as depth, it's going to be . Check it out here first, about three and a half inches and it will be about two and a half inches tall. So, that gives you an idea about how much space that's going to take up on the back of your vehicle. Then you just need to find some place to mount the switch box inside your vehicle. You want to make sure that this is out of any wet or exposed part on your vehicle, so you want to have this mounted somewhere inside. With that, that's going to do it for our look at the RVS Rear View Safety Backup Camera System for the Nissan NV200 vans.
