Redarc Trailer Brake Controller Wiring Harness - RED49FR Review

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the plug and play wiring harness for your REDARC Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers. This little wiring harness is going to make your life a whole lot easier. It's going to allow you to connect your brake controller up to your vehicle. It provides that connection point for you so that you can get everything working properly.

And it is a plug and play option, so most options you're not going to have to do any sort of wiring or anything like that. So this plug is going to plug into your REDARC Classic, Elite or Liberty Brake Controller. Now, if you have the Elite or Liberty, all you have to do is plug it in and it's going to work for you. If you have the Classic, you are going to have to do just a little bit of wiring to get this to work, but all the directions are in the instructions for you so it's very easy to do. Just a little bit of rewiring there to make sure that that's going to work with your Classic REDARC Tow-Pro Brake Controller. This end here is going to work with your Toyota, specifically the Toyota Four Runner with the factory seven-way. Now this will work with many year ranges, including 2014 to 2020, specifically, but it may also work with newer models as well.

So I would encourage you to come to etrailer.com. We do have a vehicle fit guide, so you'll type in your year, make and model of your vehicle and we'll let you know which products actually work with your vehicle so you don't have to worry about buying something and getting it and realizing it doesn't work. We try and save you that process and make it much easier for you to get the right product the first time.So this is going to just plug into the port under the dash of your Four Runner. There is a little connector box on the left side of your steering column that this will plug into. And that will get everything connected the way it needs to be.

This wire is right about two and a half feet long. So it's going to give you plenty of room to maneuver as you route your brake controller, to make sure that you can put it where you want it. This is also made here in the USA so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the U.S. It is a REDARC product so you don't have to worry about any compatibility issues or anything like that. It's going to work.

You're just going to plug in and it will work right away.It does come with a two year warranty. So if you we're to have any problems within those first two years, you could give us a call. We'd be happy to help you out with that. But really, I don't think there's going to be any problems. This is going to just plug right in and make the connection process that much simpler for you. So that's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
