Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Brackets 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - RP57FR Review

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at these Reese Quick-Install custom outboard brackets for your fifth wheel trailer hitches. Now this is a custom fit part that is designed to fit the 2020 and newer GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 six and three quarter foot bed and eight foot bed, without the OEM prep-package and the 2020 and newer Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 six and three quarter foot bed and eight foot bed, again without the OEM prep-package. To confirm that these are going to work for your truck, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Input the year, make, and model of your truck, and our fit guide will let you know if these will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now these custom outboard brackets are going to dramatically reduce the amount of drilling and time required to install your fifth wheel trailer hitch to your Sierra or Silverado.

These brackets mount beneath your truck bed to provide attachment points for your fifth wheel rails. And the brackets use existing holes in your frame, in your truck's frame, to minimize installation time. And it's going to help minimize drilling and measuring, as well. And it cuts down that installation time by more than half compared with universal bracket systems. The biggest difference with outboard brackets is that they're designed to install outside your trucks frame, so the result is a much simpler installation process, where most underbed components can be easily avoided because you're working outside of your truck's frame rails and you also have easier access with your tools and more room to work, making the whole process less of a pain for you.

Now these brackets are designed to work with the Reese universal outboard extended length base rails. On your screen, I am including our item number to those base rails, if you are in need of them, as well. And you can just put in that item number in the search field at our website here at etrailer.com and it'll take you to those base rails. Of course, those rails are going to sit in your truck bed and allow the installation of your fifth wheel trailer hitch. Now the hardware for installing these brackets to your frame are included, and these brackets are constructed of a sturdy steel, with a black powder coat that's going to resist corrosion.

And this does have a limited lifetime warranty. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
