Roadmaster Hitch Adapters - Anti Rattle 2" Hitch Extender For Tow Bars - RM-071-1075 Review

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Roadmaster Anti-Rattle two inch hitch extender for tow bars. Now, this extender is designed for use with tow bars and will extend your two inch trailer hitch receiver opening out from the rear of your motorhome to avoid any obstacles. It does give you an extra clearance of about 7 3/4 inches between your vehicle and your motorhome. This is made in the USA of durable steel, and this shank that will insert into your hitch receiver opening is solid steel. This will resist rust and corrosion with this black powder coat finish, and as you can see, it does come with this threaded hitch bolt and clip that will act as an anti-rattle device. It takes the noise and the movement out of your hitch when the extender is installed, then once you get this hitch bolt in far enough, and as it starts making its way through on the other side, then you can just go ahead and secure this with the clip.

And you will be good to go. Now, again, this is designed to extend your two inch hitch receiver opening. The maximum gross trailer weight is 10,000 pounds, the maximum tongue weight is 400 pounds, and the overall length of this is sitting right at 12 1/2 inches long, and the distance from center of hitch pin hole to center of hitch pin hole is 7 3/4 inches center to center, and then the length of the larger portion of this shank, we're sitting right at 7 5/8 inches, and then the length of the solid portion of the shank, the part that's gonna actually insert into your trailer hitch receiver, we're sitting right at about 4 3/4 inches. For more detailed dimensions, please see the product page and there is a diagram there with some more detailed measurements. This does have a limited lifetime warranty, and a few final notes, this extender is designed for tow bar use only, it's not to be used with trailer applications, and using a hitch extender will reduce your hitch's overall capacity by 50%.

Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..
