Review of Stromberg Carlson RV Stairs and Steps EHS-103-R-HR

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Stromberg Carlson Econo porch step with two handrails as well as a nice large landing. This park model trailer step is going to provide the stability of a stationary step with a handrail located on each side. The triple step Econo porch is going to come fully assembled. To use it all you have to do is unfold and simply attach the eight braces. You can see six of them, but there's going to be two more in the back. Attach those braces with the provided hardware, and attach the handrails with the provided hardware.

The braces give the unit increased strength and stability. The two handrails increase safety. It's going to give you support on each side. Either handrail can be removed if needed. Just unattach the hardware and remove it from the steps. We have a really nice sized landing up here on the top.

Little bit larger than the actual steps. Then we're going to have the three steps. Again, they provide plenty of platform space for a nice traction area. Each area, the landing or platform and each step, is going to have a nice large area of grip tape on there. The grip tape increases traction and just gives more when we're using the step.

It also helps remove items from your shoes before tracking them into or entering them in your RV. On the front edge of the grip tape here on the steps, we're going to notice a thin yellow line. What that does is that indicates the top and beginning of each step. It makes it easier to see in low-light conditions, which is also going to help promote safety. The unit's made from a steel construction for strength and durability. It's going to feature a powder coated finish, so it's going to last a long time.

It's going to resist rusting corrosion and it's going to look really nice for a long time. It's going to feature a weight capacity of 350 pounds. It's made right here in the USA. We're going to take a few minutes just to go over some dimensions. The beginning dimensions I want to start with is going to be there at the landing. If we measure the width here at the top, it's going to be 27 inches. The depth of the landing is 16 inches. When it comes to the steps, each one's going to measure the same. We're still looking at a width of 27 inches. Those are going to give us a depth of nine inches. When it comes to the overall step height, it's going to be pretty close to 28 inches. If we measure from the ground to the top of the platform we're looking at actually right around 27 and a half inches tall. The drop and rise that we have between each step, that's simply measuring from the top of one to the top of the other. That's going to be right around seven inches. That's going to be the same from here to here, here to here, and here to here. The one down here, which is going to be the first one, that's actually going to give us about six and three eighths of an inch to that first step. Front to back of the unit, basically measuring from this point here to the very back. That's going to give us an overall depth measurement pretty close to 43 inches. It's right around 42 and three quarter. If we take an overall height measurement from the ground to the very top of the handrail, that's going to measure about 61 and one quarter inches. Again, this does fold, so I'm just going to mention the folded dimensions. When it's folded we're looking at a width of 53 inches, a length of 43 inches, and a depth or thickness of two and half inches. To fold the step, all you need to do is unattach the braces, remove the hardware, remove the handrails. With a little bit of effort the steps will collapse into a stowable or folded position. That's going to do it for today's look at the Stromberg Carlson Econo porch step with the two handrails and landing.
