Review of SuperSprings Vehicle Suspension SSR-209-40

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle. This product fits certain years of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. To ensure that this is a fit for your vehicle you can use the vehicle fit guide located at etrailer.com.The helper springs upgrade your vehicle's rear suspension for improved driver control and comfort. They keep your vehicle level when you're towing or hauling a heavier load, and they really help absorb bumps and shocks, and they help minimize sway. Now, these springs feature progressive load control, so that means these springs will compress according to the weight of your cargo. For instance, on lighter loads, these springs compress easily at first for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. Then if you have a heavier load the springs compress by as much as 80%, offering maximum support. The springs also work independently from each other, which is really going to help compensate for those off-center loads, and it's going to help reduce body roles during sharp turns.

They're made from a durable micro-cellular urethane. They are designed to work in temperatures ranging from negative 25 degrees Fahrenheit all the way to positive 200 degrees Fahrenheit. The nice durable material is also designed to resist damage that's typically caused by oils, road salts, and UV rays. You'll notice that they're a nice compact design, and so it offers minimal lateral expansion. That means that these springs will compress vertically instead of off to the side, so that way they won't easily get damaged when operating in tight spaces. As you'll notice, it's a nice solid construction and it's a maintenance-free design.

So, there's no tubing to run or air-pressure to monitor like when using air-springs.It's a simple no-drill installation. Comes with all the necessary installation hardware as well as detailed instructions to help walk you through that whole process step-by-step. It also comes with some lock-tight or thread locker. These are your washers, lock-nuts bolts, spacers. Then you get the actual springs. When it comes to the weight capacity, at 50% compression it's 1,000 pounds.

Just keep in mind that Sumosprings will not increase your vehicles weight-carrying capacity. That's going to do it for today's look at the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle.
