Today, we're going to be taking a look at a T-One vehicle wiring harness for factory tow packages. This unit's going to provide you with a 7-way trailer connector. It's going to fit certain years and models of the GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT5. It's going to provide a 7-way blade style trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. This is designed for vehicles that have a factory tow package. It is going to be compatible with 4-pole, 5-pole, and 6-pole adapters.
Adapters are sold separately. The connector head, right here, is a really nice, durable construction. It's going to have the pre-drilled mounting holes that allow for easy installation to a mounting bracket. The lid is a spring lid, so it closes automatically. It's going to remain shut to keep out dirt, moisture, and grime. It's also going to feature a nice rubber gasket on the back side of the lid.
That's going to create a really nice, weather-tight seal. The unit also features wire loom that protects all the wiring, and it keeps all the wires together. This system is designed to connect quickly and easily. You don't have to worry about cutting or splicing any wires. It's also going to come with your detailed installation instructions, but basically, all you need to do is locate the connection point behind the rear bumper. Take your T-connector and plug it in.
This is custom fit for your vehicle, so the plugs on wiring harness are going to match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle, and they're going snap-lock together for a nice, secure fit. Once you have those plugged in, all you have to do is secure any excess or slack in the wiring with the included cable ties. Once your installation is complete, the 7-way connector is going to be stowed beneath the vehicle, near the trailer hitch. We do want to recommend using a mounting bracket to keep the connector secure and easily accessible. Mounting brackets are sold separately, so if you're in need of one, you can find them right here at etrailer.com. It's also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease in all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle and the 7-pole connector, itself.
The grease is going to help prevent corrosion to the connector points. That's sold separately, too, and we offer that here at etrailer. That's going to do it for today's look at the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness providing your vehicle with a 7-way Trailer Connector.
