Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the T-1 vehicle wiring harness with the four way flat trailer connector. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2019 Jeep Cherokee, and on a custom fit part I always like to recommend inaudible 00:00:13 our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now this part will provide a four way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. It is compatible with five pole, six pole, and seven pole adapters that we do sell separately. This whole harness connects very quickly and easily.Basically just locate your connection point, which will be behind the taillights on your vehicle.

Take these T-connectors. Plug in T-connectors, one on each side. One for the driver's side, one for the passenger's side. You'll ground your white wire, and then your power wire you just run to your vehicle's battery. Now it does include this ModuLite power converter, this black box here.

This is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. It is a power module so you will connect it to your vehicle's battery, and that's to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system.Now the wire that the four way's attached to is the 16 gauge bonded wire. If you notice the four way has this nice integrated dust cover, that when you're not plugged into your trailer you can just put a cover over your terminals. It protects them from any damage or from the elements. Now a few specs on this harness.

The maximum amperage on the stop and turn light circuits is five amps per circuit. On the taillights it's 7.5 amps per circuit. Now it does come with everything shown here on the table.A nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how to install it with pictures. But basically how you install it, what you want to do again is go to the rear of your vehicle, locate behind your taillights, and you want to start with the driver's side. You'll take this T-connector that has the yellow wire in it.

That's for the driver's side. You unplug your harness from your taillights. Plug this in between there, T-connector, and then you'll take the other harness that's for the passenger's side, has the green wire in it, run that over to the passenger's side. Has a length of wire here. Once you get over there, same way. Plug this in behind the taillights. Once they're all plugged in, this ModuLite you do want to attach this to a good flat surface so it doesn't bounce around. They do have a bracket on it with a hole in it. You can put a screw in there to hold it in. They do include some double face tape you could use also.Once that's attached down, take your bonded wire that the four way's attached to, run that out the back. And then your last two wires you want to connect to the ground wire. The white wire has an eyelet on it. Connect that to a good clean ground that's nearby. If there's not one nearby, they do give you a grounding screw that you can make your own ground. And then the last wire will be your black power wire. This'll run to your vehicle's battery. So what you'll want to do is run this . You don't want to run directly to the battery. You want to run it through the fuse holder. So they give you some connectors that you'll connect the power wire to. Connect it to one end, and then the other end.What you'll do is take the eyelet, put that on there, and this is what'll connect to the vehicle's battery. Once that's all connected, pop open your fuse holder, take your 15 amp fuse, install it in there, close it, and your harness is all ready to go. Now they do give you some extra cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring. But that should do it for the review on the T-1 vehicle wiring harness with the four-way flat trailer connector.

Is the battery in the back of the car or do i have to supply the heavy gauge wire to run to the front of the car?

You will need to route the black wire through the underside of the vehicle into the engine compartment, avoiding any areas that may pinch or break the wire. You may also route the wire through the vehicle itself. I have attached a link to the routing a power wire.
