Review of Tekonsha Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring 118784

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a T1 vehicle wiring harness for factory tow packages. This product fits certain years of the Hyundai Santa Fe. To ensure that it is a fit for your vehicle, you can always use the vehicle fit guide which is located at etrailer.com. It provides a four way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle and to power your trailer's signal lights. It is designed for use with the factory tow package and it is compatible with five pole, six pole, and seven pole adapters. Adapters are sold separately.

Comes with a dust cap here for the four way flat connector; that way you can cover up the connection points when the plug's not being used. The black box is the included modulite. This ensures that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer's. The power module connects directly to the vehicle battery through the wiring system to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system. It connects quickly and easily.

You don't have to worry about cutting or splicing any wires. Just locate the connection point beneath your vehicle on the frame rail and plug in the custom connector, and then you can secure the wires up and out of the way with the included cable ties provided in the kit. Then you'll also need to mount the converter box to a safe, out of the way location. You can do that with the included screw or you can do it with the included double sided adhesive foam tape. Now once your installation's complete, the four way connector will be stowed beneath the vehicle near the trailer hitch. We do recommend using a mounting bracket to keep the connector secured and easily accessible near the hitch.

It's also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle and the four pole connector, to help prevent corrosion. That is sold separately and available at etrailer.com. The maximum amperage for the stop and turn lights is five amps per circuit. For the taillights it's 7.5 amps per circuit. That's gonna do it for today's look at the T1 vehicle wiring harness for factory tow packages..
