Review of Tekonsha Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring 22114

Today we're going to take a look at the Tekonsha OEM replacement vehicle wiring harness with the brake controller adapter and a 7 way trailer connector. This towing prep kit replaces your damaged factory 7 way blade style trailer connector at the back of your vehicle. It'll enable your truck to power your trailer's signal lights. It is compatible with 4 pull, 5 pull and 6 pull adapters that we do sell separately. The T1 harness right here connects very quickly and easily. Basically, you just plug in these connection points behind the taillights.

The yellow goes to the driver's side, green goes to the passenger side. There is a white wire right here with an eyelet on it, that you'll need to ground. Then you'll have a taped end here of some wires that will go to your 7 way to connect your 7 way up. Right here you'll have your blue, black, and red wires that need to go up to the vehicles battery and also connect to the brake controller. On this harness is a taillight converter right here. This is to insure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer and a brake controller adapter which is this part here.

This will ease the installation of your electric brake controller. You just basically wire these end splices into your vehicle's wiring and any other end right here will plug into the back of your electric brake controller. This harness is compatible with inaudible 00:01:19 brake controllers made by Draw-Tite like the Activator I, Activator II, and Activator III and the Tekonsha power track. It is also compatible with proportional brake controllers like the Tekonsha prodigy and Tekonsha P2, the P3, the Primus IQ and the Voyager. It does come with all the hardware needed to install all this. A few specs on this, the maximum amperage on the stop and turn light circuit is 4.2 amps per circuit and on the taillight circuit is 7.5 amps per circuit.

It does come with a nice set of detailed instructions on how to install everything. That should do it for the review on the Tekonsha OEM replacement vehicle wiring harness with the brake controller adapter and the 7 way trailer connector.
