Tekonsha Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring - Trailer Hitch Wiring - 22124 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the T-One vehicle wiring harness with the seven way trailer connector. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2019 Ford Ranger with the factory tow package. And on a custom fit part like this, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it will show you if this will work for your application. Now, this harness provides the seven way blade style trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. It also allows for a fully functional seven way, so it'll give you tail lights, left and right turn signal, brake light, reverse light, electric brakes, and 12 volt power.

It is compatible with four pole, five pole, and six pole adapters that we sell separately, and this harness connects very quickly and easily.Basically just locate your connection point, which will be beneath the vehicle on the driver's side right behind the rear tire. You'll separate those connectors that are on the vehicle and then plug in this T-connector to those matching connectors. Once it's all plugged in, then you just run this black power wire to your vehicle's battery and you're all ready to go. Does include all the parts here that are laid out here on the table. Includes the wiring harness, the extra length of wire for your battery connection, wire connectors, an inline fuse holder with the 30 amp fuse, some nice extra cable ties to take up any slack in wiring, and a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how to install everything with pictures. But basically just to install this, again, you'll go to the rear of the vehicle, the driver's side, and right behind the rear tire you'll see a connector that you just pull apart and it'll match these two.

Plug these connectors to that, that you just pulled apart. And then what you'll want to do is run this power wire to your vehicle's battery. Now, your battery is in the front of the vehicle, so they do give you this extra length of wire to run the power wire up there and the connectors. So you'll take one of your power or your butt connectors, plug it into one end of this wire, just like that, and then run this length of wire to the front of your vehicle. Now, when you get to the front, you don't want to connect this directly to the battery. You want to run it through this inline fuse holder, so put a butt connector on the end.

It's up at the front. Connect it to one end of this fuse holder, just like that. And then on the other end, you'll take this eyelet connector, connect that, and this is what'll connect to your vehicle's battery. Once that's all connected, pop open the fuse holder, take the included 30 amp fuse, put it into your fuse holder all the way. Take the cap, put it right back on, and it's all plugged in.

Your system's all ready to go.Again, these extra cable ties will take up any slack in this wiring that you had to run to the front of the vehicle, and then your system will be all ready to go. Now, once the installation is complete, this seven way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle near the trailer hitch. We do recommend a mounting bracket to keep the seven way connector secure. We do sell those mounting brackets separately on our website, and we do list them on this product page as a related product. But that should do it for the review on the T-One vehicle wiring harness with the seven way trailer connector.
