Review of Thule Hitch Locks THSTL2

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device. This unit is used to lock your bike rack to the hitch of your vehicle and reduce the amount of play and rattle from within the hitch. The unit does feature the integrated dust cover. This is going to keep the lock clean, so that does a great job at keeping dirt, grime, and moisture out of the lock core. Flips up to expose the shutter and then folds down, snaps into place to keep the elements away and out of the lock core. Now, the unit also features the Thule One Key System compatibility, so it can be keyed alike with other Thule One Key System locks. Keyed alike locking cylinders are available in packs of two, four, six, eight, and 10, all of which are available on and sold separately here at etrailer.com.This is designed to work on both 1-1/4" and 2" hitch-mounted racks from Thule. It fits the Thule Parkway, Revolver, Ridgeline, Roadway Hitching Post Pro, Vertex T2, Expressway, and Trailblazer Series bike racks.

The pin diameter is 1/2". Few measurements to go over with you real quick. The pin length from the bottom of the bolt head to the end of the pin is about 4-1/2", and then the threaded area, that's going to measure about 1-3/8" long to that point there.Again, this is designed to not only lock your bike rack to the hitch of your vehicle, but as it threads through, it actually pulls the shank of the accessory or of the bike rack to one side of the hitch, which is going to reduce the amount of wobble, reduce the amount of play and rattle from within the hitch. Then, this just snaps on the other side, and then you would need to move it to a locked position.Does come with two keys as well as the included tool to get it tightened down inside the hitch. You could also use a 3/4" wrench or a 3/4" socket.

Then, this key right here is the key that you would use to insert the lock into the lock housing. Then, these two keys are the ones that operate the actual lock. That's going to do it for today's look at the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device.
