Review of Titan Brake Actuator T4750620

Today we're going to take a look at the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator with the drop for Disc Brakes, has the electric lockout, and it fits on a hitch ball size of 2-5/16" diameter. Now this hydraulic actuator will synchronize your trailer brakes with your tow vehicle brakes. On the very back here it has this electric reverse lockout which is attached to the back of the master cylinder. This will let you back up without actuating the trailer brakes. The lockout is basically a solenoid that is attached from the back of the master cylinder. It has two wires coming out of it that connect to the ground and into the reverse light circuit, so when you put your vehicle in reverse, it'll cut off the brakes from applying on your brakes when you're in reverse. Then if you also notice right here it has nice built in shield to protect that solenoid valve from the elements or from any damage. They also used this unique roller design that will reduce resistance during telescoping to create straight line movement.

When this moves in it goes on the rollers. It is a sturdy durable steel construction which will resist bending and jackknife situation. The coupler right here at the front is a standard heavy duty coupler, has a built-in 3" drop you can see right here that will help level the trailer to the tow vehicle. The breakaway kit which is this lever and the chain right here. Let me just show you. This breakaway kit is all included. Basically what this would do is you'll take the hook on this end, and attach it to your tow vehicle, and once that's all hooked, if by chance your trailer ever disconnects from your tow vehicle, it will pull this chain which will activate this lever which will apply the brakes in your trailer and keep it from a runaway situation. This is all zinc plated which is corrosion resistant.

If you notice right here all the holes, that's a bolt-on installation. The application for this is it's a disc brake application. Again the ball size the coupler fits on is a 2-5/16" diameter. The drop right here on the coupler is 3'. The mounting right down here, this is designed to put on a 3" wide channel tongue.

Weight capacity on this is 12,500 pounds, and the maximum tongue weight capacity is 1,250 pounds. That should do it for the review on the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator with the drop for Disc Brakes, has the electric lockout and fits on a 2-5/16" hitch ball. .
