Review of Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring 118521

Today we're going to review part number 118521. This is the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-way flat trailer connector. This part is a custom-fit part number. It is designed to fit the Honda Odyssey, starting in 2011. It does come with everything showing here on the table. It comes with the harness itself. It comes with this black box power module. It has the 3 fuses.

There's 2 7.5 amp fuses and one 10 amp fuse, some cable ties to take up any excess cable, and a nice set of detail instructions with some nice pictures. Now this will provide a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. It does connect quickly and easily. You just use this plug-ins here. Use the plug in T-connectors, and there's no cutting or splicing of wires. Basically your connection point is from the rear cargo area. It also includes this ModuLite to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer.

It is a powered module which connects directly to the battery to overload your vehicle's electrical system. You just basically plug this right into here to your harness. On the 4-way, it has a length of wire to run to the back. That wire is a 16-gauge bonded wire. On the 4-way itself, you can see it includes this attached dust cap. When you're not using the 4-way, just put your dust cap on.

It protects it from any damage and from the elements. A few specs on this wiring harness. The maximum amperage on the stop and turn light circuit is 4.2 amps per circuit. On the tail lights circuit, it's 7.5 amps per circuit. Again, briefly how this installs, what you would do is go to the rear here of your vehicle. By the rear seat on the driver's side, there's a panel that you remove on the side there. You'll have access to the rear fuse box. What you want to do is these will plug in.

You'll see the connecting points. Again, the instructions will show you where, but this will plug in to where the fuse box is. What you want to do is you'll take this grey plug and that's what we'll plug your module right into there. Then there's a piece of double-faced tape. You peel this off and you want to attach this so it doesn't bounce around. You want to get that attached to the vehicle. Once that's all installed, you'll take this white wire that runs out of the grey connector and you'll attach this to a good, clean ground on the vehicle. Again, these cable ties are included if you need to take up any slack in the cable. Then what you want to do, the last thing you need to do is, in that rear fuse box, it tells you what the location points are for where you're going to plug in these fuses. You'll plug in the 2 7.5 amp fuses and the 1 10 amp fuse also in that fuse box. Once that's all connected, close it all up, and you'll be ready to just run this out the back when you're going to tow. When you're not, you can store it inside the vehicle. That should do it for the review on part number 118521, the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-way flat trailer connector. .
